Why reduced hours at IOA 05/21 and 05/22

Does anyone know why IOA reduced their hours on May 21 and 22 to close at 7:00 p.m.? About a month ago I entered the closing time on my spreadsheet of 8:00 p.m. after checking the website. Today I went in to confirm it was still 8:00, but now it's 7:00 meaning Universal intentionally reduced it. All the remaining dates in May are either 8:00 or 10:00 p.m. Is May 21st, a Saturday, actually going to be less busy than Monday - Thursday of the next week [week before Memorial Day Weekend]? Do they base this on their on-site hotel occupancy?

And I should mention the 2 Saturdays before the 21st [7th and 14th] IOA stayed open until 8:00 p.m.

i would have to check the calendar to see what they have listed for events.

Looks like Studios is open until 9 pm both those dates. Makes me wonder if a group rented the park for the late hours on IoA side. I've seen parts of City Walk reserved/rented...do the parks do that as well?

Yes. They contract out to quite a few places this time of year. When I was there in April I had to explain this to the people Iw as with. They kept going "I thought the park was closed"
