Why no TRON ride in WDW???

Such a cult icon movie and last movie made over $400,000,000 worldwide. The roller coaster in Shanghai looks amazing! I think something like that would be fantastic at WDW! (And no, Test Track is not TRON) With all the rumors and new rides coming in the next few years, I wish they would dedicate something to this fantastic visual movie. Anybody agree?

Yes, many would love to have a version of the Shanghai Tron ride to finally revitalize MK's Tomorrowland or EPCOT's Future World
And it's not so much that those people are big Tron movie fans, it's just that WDI made an awesome ride, and it would happen to fit perfectly in a future theme.

My 17yo is a HUGE Tron fan and he was watching a video of the Tron ride this week. All of my guys would love that!

This question could be asked (and has been, countless times) about the lack of Disney park representation of so, so many Disney hit films.

Likewise, there are many attractions at the non-USA parks that simply dwarf the USA parks' attractions in scope, themeing and breathtaking immersive creativity.

DCA in California had Tron nights for quite awhile. Each night they had stages setup with live acts based on Tron. They had Flynns Arcade that resembled Tron's. Food and drink items taken from the movie etc. The walkways were lit up in grids and lots of special effects on the buildings as well.

I believe from what I've heard the refurbed (completed Dec 2012) Test Track is considered Tron-ish. I've only been on the other version prior to the refurb where you design your own car but youtube videos of the refurb do seem to incorporate Tron-ish things. No it's not like Shanghai though.

I do think it would be cool to see Tron nights like they have at DCA.

The big reason is because Tron was a flop domestically but did amazing in the China market. Also they are not saturated with Disney in China so they had to go with known commodities there. Tron, Avengers, Pirates of the Caribbean the movies, and the live action Alice in Wonderland were big movies there so they are known to that area where as the princess movies, cartoons, and such are not nearly as well known or child hood friends like they were for us.

I do wish they would do a Tron ride on the old People Mover/Rocket track at Disneyland. It could be a lot of fun.
