Why no 'Room-Only' discount for April 2008?

Last April, Disney came out with a Room Only Discount Code, and it saved us a bundle. I was just curious to see if anyone knew why there isn't one this year.

There is an AP and FL Res room only code out right now for stays up to 5/21/08, and a Disney Rewards Visa cardholder room only code until 4/12/08, so maybe it's just a Disney marketing reason (maybe their room quota already filled from those groups?)

JMO but I really do think that something else will show up soon, so I'd keep watching here on the DIS and it will be posted. Hope it will be for your dates!

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that there has been a "room only" discount offered to the general public since last year. Does anyone know when they were last offered?

Probably no April general codes are needed. By watching some of the current threads it does seem that April is busy. With Easter, passover, spring break all being on different schedules the resorts are full. If there are no empty rooms, no need for a discount. Have you checked availablily for your week to see if there is anything left. I know alot of folks were having a hard time just finding an AP discount on many of the resorts for the 2nd and 3rd weeks of April.

I was just up at my kids school. We were talking about spring break and the secretary mentioned how blown away she was by the fact there were over 200 kids from the school going to WDW for SB. I'm sure not all the families will be staying on site but it still is a lot from just one school. mOst of New England still has SB staggered around the 2nd, 3rd and last week in April. WDW is a huge SB destination for anyone who lives in a colder state :O)
