Does anyone know why there was no McDonald's Happy Meal tie-in with Home on the Range. This is the first recent animated Disney movie that I remember not having some sort of toy? Does anyone know the last one without a toy tie-in??

I was wondering the same thing. Even The Emperor's New Groove had a happy meal... it seems like it would be better for McD's to have "Home on the Range" than it would for "Dogz" or whatever they have right now.

I imagine they'll maybe have a toy for the DVD release?

Did they have anything for Brother Bear as well?? I can't remember back that far.

They did do brother bear stuff.

Could it possibly be due to the fact that the film is lousy and disappointing?

I must say that my two little cousins liked it when I took them, but everyone above the age of 10 thought it was the worst Disney movie in a long time (even worse than Atlantis, Brother Bear, and the seriously undderated Treasure Planet).

Think about it. A movie about cows.................hamburgers. They just don't go together. Yuck!

One message of the film is that a small farm can defeat factory farms. McDonald's is depedent on factory farms to supply the excessive amounts of beef/chicken/eggs/cheese (animal products) that they push. I think it is logical for them not to tie into this movie.

I did enjoy the movie and was glad to see a major motion picture company quietly protest factory farms. I am a vegan (strict vegetarian) and a member of PETA. I was glad to see the message on the big screen. I guess this was my "Passion." Now if "Animal Cruelty...The Movie" can ever make it to theaters...

We were surprised that there was no tie-in, we didn't really think about the conflict issue. We are from the south and really miss Chick-fil-a, they don't have them up here. Anyway, would have been a great tie-in with HOTR as they do that cow add, "eat more Chikn" thing anyway LOL.......Lacee
