I see no mention of this hotel at all. I'm getting it for about $70 a night this weekend, it's highly rated on tripadvisor, and is a Hampton.

Plus, it's outside Anaheim, so the taxes are much lower, and there is no parking fee like the Hampton closer to the park.

It seems to be an obvious great choice, unless it has a horrible reputation I'm unaware of.

We've stayed at Towneplace the last couple of times, but this Hampton seems great, until make the huge upgrade to the GC for the last couple of days.

Most people on this board like to stay at hotels that are close to DLR so a hotel outside of Anaheim, no matter how good, probably isn't going to get put on their list of hotel options.

This. With small kids I don't want to get in a car or on the bus at the end of the day.

I work nearby and can say the Hampton is in a decent and quiet location - see letter C on the map: http://g.co/maps/cntsh. There's a Target and a Starbucks within walking distance, and it's about 7 miles straight down Katella to DL.

We stayed there for our first married trip years ago. While it was a great hotel, waiting for, riding, and dealing with the Tram was not something I want to repeat EVER.

We prefer the convenience of walking distance hotels and many of the regulars here on the DLR board feel the same way. Driving to DLR makes it tough to be there at the opening of the parks and Trams or dedicated shuttles the same. Plus it is oh so convenient to be able to walk back to the hotel mid day if needed. Whereas, if I were staying 7 miles away and driving or traming in, It would be kind of a hassle. So that's probably why it doesn't get more suggestions here. After you stay there, tell us what you think and what you think of the shuttles, etc if you would please.
