why no cheap airfare on southwest?

Southwest barely made a profit in the first quarter, I would not look for fares to go down. Other airlines are making up for increased costs by bag fees, SW is not doing that so they need to increase fares.

Why have there been no sales for weeks on southwest? I fly PVD-MCO, and we usually see $99-$109 airfare regularly, and there has just been nothing like that this summer! And i fly midweek too and not on holidays!

Has anyone heard anything about future deals?

As far as cheap airfares go on Southwest, we scored big. Three round trip airfares from Buffalo direct flights in mid august for $476 including all taxes. Oh by the way it was not a ding special. We booked the flight the very day Southwest opened up is fares for summer travel.

Nice, SW just dropped fares again from SDF to MCO from $97 to $86.

I know orig post was about 2 months ago but I had a recent thread on here that shows many low priced flights from PVD to MCO. Most about $69

no SWA luv here. I finally booked Delta on 6/30 when the price dropped to $84 each way. I was beginning to think $119 was the best I could do. Glad I sat on my hands!!

We've been watching SW out of BWI to MCO for the first week of November and can't believe how high the rates are. But luckily, yesterday Jetblue started a big sale. $69 one way to MCO non-stop works great for us. This sale is for flights up to December.

SW certainly dropped fares for the Fall. PVD-MCO is as little as $69 each way and with the $25 off code it's $56.50 each way. I never thought we'd see fares like that again. I guess it's all in the timing.
