Why no Cars Land??

I think that (and I could be wrong) the PP meant US can't expand the roster of Marvel Characters in the park.

The contract might give them the rights to the characters they had at the time, in the comicbook designs of the era...but as I understand it (and I'm also not a lawyer) they can't use any characters that weren't in the original agreement, or use any of the newer looks to the characters they do have.

So I don't think they can build a new ride themed after a character not in the original contract.

And considering the rumored rule handed down at Marvel regarding the restrictions placed on writers of the Xmen titles about no new characters, no cross-overs that could expand the Xmen character roster for Fox movies...I think Disney will be quick to stop any Universal parks attempt to grow the Marvel presence beyond it's current roster.

Correct

I have to chuckle at those saying the don't want Carland because it's already at DL. Have you not looked at DHS lately? It's an attraction starved park that's anemic on quality rides. They should be putting in Carsland AND Star Wars.

I think WDW fans have just learned to temper their expectations.

I think Cars Land is lovely! But, it is a better fit at DCA. It is a western themed land and would look and feel weird in Florida. I agree that some attractions should not be carried over to the opposite coast.

Good thing they didn't build a World Showcase... Or a mine train ride.

It's entirely possible that imagineering could develop a Carsland unlike the one in CA.

Personally, I am excited to see what they do with Star Wars, and I would LOOOOVE to see a whole Pixar area.

DHS is so boring right now. It needs a major overhaul in multiple areas. I'll be at DHS next Tuesday and other than trying to ride TSMM for the first time and seeing a couple of shows, I don't know what else to do there (other than RnR and ToT which are not for me.)

Totally recommend the Animation Academy, several times.
