Well get ready for the worst but anyway weather forecasts can be wrong, i hope so for you :goodvibes

I go tomorrow and the weather report is rain for Monday and Tuesday and snow for Wednesday!:scared1: The worst possible weather for travelling back home. I will not be defeated by bad weather. I will enjoy myself.;)

dont worry!!
when we went in dec - i was eager to knwo the forecast, and it changed daily (in fact sumtimes for than twice in one day!!) and showed rain, dry, sun, snow....... mostly rain, and i was as gutted as u - and even the day we were going it showed rain for 2 out of 3 days.....

didnt help when we got off the tunnel and it was all cold n foggy, i felt even more miserable....

and how was our weather???

dry all the time, with the most fab snow shower that made it magical without disrupting - and we had no rain, and its was freezing.....

the weather forecasts r as good as uk ones - not accurate really!!

chin up :goodvibes

lol i have been preparing for the cold i work in a factory with no heating we all just have a portable heater between two people i know freezing it was -3 at work on monday i know you dont have to work in those conditions but i am only wearing a shirt hoody and jeans so that when i go to france ill be warm with all my layers and new ski jacket lol

Hopefully by then, the forecast would've changed lol. I know I kept checking before we went and it was constantly changing daily (or even a couple of times a day!). I'm with you though - I'd rather have cold weather than rain anytime. Blegghh.

Rain isn't the end of the world at DLRP - in fact it can almost be a positive some times.

DLRP is very well designed and offers plenty to do in the rain. Plus, the locals tend to stay away and wait for a dry day if it rains, which means that the parks tend to be a bit quieter.

Just make sure you're prepared and you'll be fine - take a nice light-weight rain jacket or pick up some ponchos so you can just throw it on if it starts raining and make sure you're familiar with the various covered walking routes (there's a good video on youtube which I think maybe linked from the really useful information thread showing how you can get quite a way around the park without stepping out from cover for more than a few seconds at a time).

I'm there the same time as you tinks, and althiugh it says rain it also says 7oC!

Which will be nicer than -7!

I doubt it'll pour down all the time. Dont get yourself wound up over something you can't control. Just isnt worth it.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for dry weather for you :goodvibes

It can get pretty dismal when it's wet and cold, we've been there and the only thing I'd say is make sure you've got a change of footwear and plenty of nice dry hats and gloves to change into and avoid jeans that drag on the floor, there's nothing worse than when that cold damp feeling starts creeping up your leg.
