Ian has still not forgiven me because we didn't go to Glastonbury, in between watching it on telly my punishment for the evening has been his choice of music on the ipod, so far I have had Nirvana, The Sex Pistols, Underworld to name a few, when I protest at the volume and the noise, I am told you are a rock chick deal with it :rotfl2:

Surely you're better catching Glasto at home these days??? We went in 2003 and hubby will not be going camping again, let alone a music fest :rotfl:

At least you can usually see most of the performances online or by pressing red (what did we ever do without the net or interactive tv :confused3 )

We saw Kings of Leon earlier there wasn't much else that interested me really.

Oh and your hubbys choice of artists, well I could think of worse - what about Rolf Harris? I'm sure he was there in 2003 but we missed him, oh well :thumbsup2

I watched Amy Winehouse, just turned off Jay Z only so many times I can sing along to ho. I am now joining in a chorus of "Who Killed Bambi" which is really sick

Poor you Jules, I would've loved to have seen Jay-Z, I liked the fact that he sang Wonderwall last night ;)

Serves you right Jules, should have let Ian have his way.

India has been at Glastonbury since Wednesday and is absolutely loving it.
Tam and I went 3 times, but that was many years ago. Having watched so much on tele I think Tam is getting ideas about going next year, always assuming there is one.

I don't know much about Kings of Leon but I thought they were superb on Friday. Also Elbow yesterday looked good.
Jay Z leaves me cold. I'm afraid the whole rap thing has passed me by. He seems like a nice enough bloke (saw him on Jonathon Ross) but ripping off other peoples music and then talking over it just doesn't do it for me. Call me old fashioned. ;)

Tam has heard a rumour that the Foo Fighters have already been approached to headline next year. Now that would be cool.

Sorry, your feeling fed up, but I must say I dont think I could handle all that mud at the festival.

I love Ians choice of music:thumbsup2

I've always loved the Kings of Leon, can't wait for their new album out in Sept :thumbsup2
Have to agree on the rap type music, it annoys me so much when the youth of today don't even realise that these songs are covers or they've sampled from a fantasic tune - the origional artists are forgotten - and I'm only 27, guess I was brought up on good quality music ;)

Would love to see the Foos, there's a clip on yout tube from their Wembley gig where they build a 'cup chain' must have made the clean up easier :cool1:

Although I would fancy being close by getting covered in old beer and who knows what :scared:

Also here's a good example of a decent cover the Grass doing the Police

No chance love sorry! Not my cup of tea at all I'm afraid.

Tell you what we'll stage a festival in our garden next year, we can chuck water all over you for three days, ban you from using the toilets, put the TV on with some dodgy music(probably a better view than actually being there) and then to finish it all off I'll put on a beehive wig and a pair or boxing gloves - all yours for the knock down price of £150 a head!!

Jules

I have been sitting here watching it on TV and hearing all about it from India and I want to go again more than ever

It looks fantastic - there is just so much to see and do - India says she just hasn't had a chance to do everything she wanted - but within 5 hours of getting there they were adamant they would go next year. Not sure whether she felt the same when the rain came down the next day though:rotfl:

I have even said to Kev if we can't budget for it next year we could all go as litter pickers!!!! Like you said we've got the tent what more do you need. (A rucksack full of loo roll and hygenic hand antiseptic!!!)
