Why Lime Green?

When I was obsessed with chatting as I am with DIS now I always used lime green to chat in... nobody used lime green, and they always knew it was me as soon as the lime apeared on screen.

But honestly lime green shirts on fat people (my dh and I) .... not a good mix!

Pooh sized people like us should not be afraid of the lime. Everyone is always so stunned by the bright color, they don't remember what size you are! :thumbsup2
It's like camoflage...... :lmao:

Lime power to the people! :goodvibes

My dd asked me this question last night and I didn't have an answer. :confused3 I just told her "An explanation isn't always necessary." She gets that answer alot. :rotfl2:

Anyhow, it started me thinking.... does anyone know why it's lime green?

Because its the ugliest color that Home Depot has in stock. And you can always find the Mickey Mouse color chip because only the Disboard members want it. But no one buys the paint. :rotfl2:

Opinion needed..
Is it wrong that while shopping yesterday I talked my dh into a lime green polo shirt (and trust me it took alot of persuasion) just so he could wear it on our vacation.. but I didn't tell him why? :rotfl2:
Can't wait to see his face when he comes out of the shower with his lime green polo on only see the kids an I all limed up as well!!! Getting him out the door will be the next obvious challange. :thumbsup2

THis makes you a very good wife and mommy. Tell him this way no one gets lost. If you get separated in the parks just look for the lime!

Good ploy. It's close to the truth... It will be hard to lose lime people in the park. :thumbsup2

Every time I hear "lime green," I get the Cure song Wrong Number in my head..."lime green, lime green and tangerine/The sickly sweet colors of the snakes I'm seeing..."

Anyway...back to the topic at hand...

OK don't flame me, but I don't like the color green. It's just sooo NOT my color. :confused3 I don't own anything green. However, I WILL put the LGMHPC on my bag/stroller and my hotel room door when I'm in WDW next summer. :thumbsup2

sneezie-I too am a Stephanie Plum fan as is Utahmama!! I love reading her books. I once spent an entire summer catching up to her then latest book and have been hooked ever since! (That was also pre-DIS days) I haven't read #12 yet. :rolleyes1

Now it makes sense as to why I saw an entire family in lime green tee shirts in MK!! Next June I'll definitely be sporting the lime!

I too have been turned into a lime green fan. I have gone to Home Depot and have my "ears". I have been to our Disney store to get the lime green Mickey Mouse head for my car but they never have any in. I will keep checking. I am thinking of getting lime green crocs for our 2007 trip. My dh thinks I am goofy. But what better place to be goofy than at WDW?

Can someone direct me to which post or where I might find how to go about ready-ing the LGMHPC so it's "good to go"? Do you cut them out and paste them back to back? Do you laminate them? I wanna make sure I do this properly. I'm taking this seriously. LOL. :cool1:

It's posted in the "secret green club" forum. I don't know exactly what page it's on. ;)
To get your Mickey Heads ready, you soak the mickey heads in water for a little while and then they peel off the backing. Once they are dry, you laminate them and cut them out. Don't forget to add your user name before laminating, if you want it on there! Then you can use them for just about anything. Garlands, necklaces, etc. I didn't paste mine back to back, I just did one per lamination. Works for what I am doing with them. Hope this helps. :)
