Why is Yavn so "Famous?"

That, my friend, is what we call rumors and is what sparks questions such as the one I had.

I agree with Mal in the sense that we should have a more direct source of information (which would indicate an ambiguously famous figure such as Yavn to post on the dis)

However, everyone has a life and most likely he is a member of other forums not just the fansite and can't do everything.

Sorry that you find the truth harsh. I also know we need to just from the start know we are going to disagree here about Yavn. I know you are friends and you will defend him so it is best that we just agree to disagree about him.


Unfounded it is not.

He takes the time to post to the fansite, and yes I know he does not do it often, he even thanked all of them for wishing him a Happy Birthday.

I do beleive we had a birthday thread here also no thank yous to us were made.

It takes all of a few minutes to register and post or even copy and paste a post here at the DIS. And still he has not made even one post here. He posted as late as yesterday at the fansite.

While yes it is true that information finds it's way here, are we not as important a fanbase as the fansite members?

I will have to agree with you Mal also. I Think it is UNFAIR that Yavn posted on Fan Site and not here. Here is my opion

I think that Yavn should not sign up for any fan site whether its here or fan site. I think this because its unfair to all other sites. I also think that since he post on Fan site that he should post on every other site to be fair.

I thought that Yavn was famous due to wikipedia's article. He was mentioned before anyone else was, so I think he is famous because of that mainly.

My not so humble opinion is it's okay that yavn doesn't post here. I'm not offended in the least. It would be very nice to have him here and to have him answer our questions but he's human and can only do so much. I think we're lucky that he posts on any site. Do I wish he would choose to post here? Yes! But I cherish any snippet of inside info we get from him even if it comes from other sites. Ultimately, I'd rather he spend his time working on the game instead of posting on web sites. Hints of what is to come are great but usually, actually having the stuff is much more fun. I say usually because right now I'm quite sick of pumpkins so in hindsight, I wish the developers had spent that time posting on web sites.

I don't know yavn personally and don't frequent his rooms. I'm pretty sure I've never even met him in the game. This is just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

He was NOT the maker of VMK.He was on the team of makers for VMK.He is not only a tester but a maker.He gets some things testers don't even get to test until later.He is very 'god like' in VMK and I don't know why.

You could have read my last post..but, I know this because I stay in touch with testers and yavn.Maybe not ALL the staff but the testers I do.Alyuel ACTUALLY talks to me!She ignores most people.Not me.She does not talk on VMK.Doesn't mean I don't use the power of pms!I also talk to her on aol..

Just to let everyone know, wikipedia is THE WORSE source of imformation due to the ability of edit. Anyone can go in a edit whatever they want at any time. Wikipedia is not to be a trusted site of info.
