Why is WDW going through so many updates?

Just wondering but ever since the 50th celebration came around, WDW has been going under tons of updates/renovations for rides and resorts and they are taking stuff out and putting a lot of new things in. I mean its not bad they are doing this, but just seems weird WDW is just now going under so many changes.

Dinsey is ALWAYS changing.

New hotels, new restaurants, new attractions.

Just like any other succesful business, it is not stagnant, it moves along with the times. Some attractions have run their course and are updated and replaced. Among them are Millionaire, Horizons, Mr. Toad, If You Had Wings, Legend of the Lion King, Captain EO, Magical Journeys, etc.

I dunno maybe Im noticing it more now, now that im on the boards then 3 yrs ago when i wasnt on the boards.
