This is so annoying I want to go to POP in August for 11 night and be on the dining plan, but Disney won't let it be for over 10 days. So I have to make a seperate Ressie for 1 night... Will I have to change rooms? and buy tickets 2 times in order to have dining for one day? In that case no dining plan 1 day..LOL.

My advice would be to book the 10 night package, then book a one night hotel only. You'll have to re check in at the desk for that last day but just go early in the morning and you likely won't have to change rooms. The dining plan is good untill midnight the day you check out (for thepackage) so you'll be covered by the dining plan that day even though that night you're booked on a hotel only. You'll probably have enough counter credits to fill in that last day easily. We did.
The other alternative is if you're arriving too late to eat the first night, then book the hotel only on the front end.

At POP we didn't even have to go to the desk to re-check in. They left a message on the phone, and when I called back they asked what time I would like a CM to deliver our new room keys.

You're right about having to buy another ticket.

You may want to wait on the extra ticket. Last year we also booked 10 days with the 10 day ticket. Well we needed to extend our trip by 4 days because our kids could not keep up. They asked to stay at the pool all day instead of hitting the parks. Also, our arrival and departure days were a bust with the parks. Our arrival day, our kids were so shot, even though we had an 11:00am and not the 7:00 am flight that they went right to sleep after dinner. I think it was all the excitement. Have a great trip. We did and are planning on 14 days this time with the 10 day tickets again.

WOW, maybe I'm crazy, but isn't that real expensive to stay 14 days? I would love to do that....do you camp? :listen: Or do you stay in a hotel? I'd give anything to stay that long. :confused3

we have annual passes so we don't have to pay for tickets this time. But I think for 10 nights with dining, and a 1 day basy ticket for all of us at POP in a preferred room is 2100.00. Compared to the 1800.00 I just paid in February for Wilderness Lodge room only, I think I am getting a great deal...LOL. Plus gotta use the passes one more time!! ;)

We purchased one AP for the room discount and 3 Magic your Way 10 day base tickets. I bought the tickets through Discount Orlando Vacations. The hotel room was $99 per night at POR. We threw some pool days in. We are not big on lavish meals so the food court was good for us for most meals. We did have a few character meals and dinner at Ohana and 1900 Park Fare. I never felt deprived or like I was missing out on something. We did have Wegoshop deliver breakfast, snacks, and beverages to our room. We had a great trip and relaxed which is something most people don't get to do at WDW. :thumbsup2

I hear you on this one. We usually go for about 18-20 days each July and I hate having to book two seperate trips. One for 10 then the other for the remaining days. Means you have to make TWO deposits. Although we have never had to move from one room to another. The CM just links the two reservations and they have always told me at the front desk that we wont have to move from our room. Which is great because I wouldnt want to have to pack up to move to another room.

Here's an idea. Book it for 1 day then 10. That way you won't be worrying for 10 days about whether or not you will have to move.

We have stayed at POP several times for 4+10 and never had to move.

Either way, have fun.

We stay 8 weeks during the summer at Ft. Wilderness campground and in order to get the ap rate, I will probably end up having 7 different reservations. It is a pain to keep going back up front to check back in, but well worth the savings. Ap rate is $46.00 a night for the site, regular rate is $66.00 a night. $200.00 savings for the first 10 days. Last summer we stayed 6 weeks, but they never made us move our camper.

I don't know why they won't allow Americans took for longer than 10 nights. :confused3

If we're willing to give them our money, they should be happy to take it. :rotfl2:
