AKL club level when booking the standard room? For the most part their rooms are priced the same. I would have thought they were the same for concierge.
We stayed Poly CL and loved it but wanted to try another resort. Are all CL about the same?

My guess would be location ... WL is a much more popular location than AKL. We did AKL conciege and loved it. That said, I have heard the food offerings at Poly are much more extensive than those at AKL. The other thing to consider about AKL is that it takes you some time to bet back there to use the concierge services. At Poly you can be at MK and have it not take long to get you back to Poly to take part in evening offerings. At AKL it requires bus transportation wherever you are ... depending on the wait for the bus ... can be time consuming.

WL concierge -- while not staying there - have been flag family and eaten up there. I didn't think it was quite as nice as the AKL, BC/YC concierges as the "lounge" is really not a full blown lounge but is built around the outer railings ... hard to describe.

Hope that helps ....

Keep in mind that with the AKL concierge you can book the Sunrise Safari - worth every penny!

I agree that location (a Magic Kingdom resort, with direct transportation via boat) is the most likely reason. The AKL is bus only. It's gorgeous, though, and I have heard raves about club level there. When my youngest is old enough top handle bus rides after a long park night, we will definitely want to try it.

The WL Concierge does have its own "lounge" now (it was renovated a couple years ago and no longer is located about the railings). There are pics of it in the WL Info thread as well as the allearsnet site.

We have not stayed at the WL since the renovation, as our youngest child is now too old for five of us to fit in a regular concierge room. It is less $ to stay at concierge level at a monorail resort because they sleep five people. We do miss the WL. It's our favorite even over the Poly! Hopefully, we will get back there in the next couple years now that the Junior Suite gets concierge privileges. The food is my husband's favorite-- he loves all the hearty soups/stews and of course, who doesn't love the awesome berry cobbler?!

Good luck planning!

I've stayed on the WL Club Level twice and just wanted to make it clear that the Old Faithful Club is just where you get your food/drink. There's no seating. The seating (tables/chairs/sofas) areas are still located along the railings overlooking the main lobby below. Just wanted to make sure this was clear. BTW, I don't know what it looked like before the renovation.

Sorry-- I should have looked at your sig to see that you have been there since the reno.

The food & drinks used to be lined up on tables spanning the center part of space between the wings, facing toward the courtyard.

Hmm. I kinda figured it was something like that. Glad I went AFTER they added the OFC. Food and drink in the aisle doesn't sound safe OR very sanitary.

I don't know for sure but maybe because the CL rooms at the WL are on a seperate floor, at the AK the CL are all over the place. We stayed CL at the AKL and I got the feeling it was just a regular room with access to the CL lounge.

I am guessing because things were under construction for the villas and that is when I noticed the rates drop at AKL. I have stayed CL at both resorts and AKL by far outshines WL in my opinion. To many things to list but there is a definate difference. The sunrise safari option at AKL is just he iceing on the cake as they say. I never had any trouble with the bus sevice being slow at AKL but I did at WL so go figure.
