It's worth it to me because my family didn't do things like this when I was a kid. I want my DD to have those memories.
As a single mom, I have to save for each trip. I don't do credit cards at all. I pay for things as I go. I did use part of my tax return this year to pay for the flights and tickets but that's not normally the case. We can fly pretty cheap from Phoenix to John Wayne. Usually just over $100 each. We always stay offsite, no frills, continental breakfast, within walking distance. We take our own water bottles everyday and we split a lot of meals. We don't really buy souvenirs but we take lots of pictures. We've had to cut out a lot of "unneccesary" shopping in order to go more often, but we always have so much fun.
At 16, I figure it won't be much longer and she won't want to go play at Disneyland with her mommy anymore
so I'd better take advantage of it while I can. lol
