Why is Storytellers impossible to get at the moment?

Tried to get a table for 5. Impossible. But, we were able to get a 4 person reservation so I told my wife I'd just sit it out. My wife called Disney and they said just get two reservations with enough people to guarantee admittance.

I was lucky to remember day of reservations opening and got the time I wanted plus a second table/reservation. If we got to sit at different tables it's no big but....

I wish there was a better way.

I can't remember if Storyteller's specifically, but we often travel with a party of 8 and I often need to book 4+4 within 10 minutes of each other. They almost always sat us together, though not guaranteed of course.

Not yet. It probably won’t release until later today. That’s what happened when they first released the holiday dates.

Holy moly Thanksgiving went fast. I was on refreshing from 9:15 onward. I saw brunch came up and refreshed every about 5 to 10 seconds. Dinner came up and there was 4:20 available and by the time I clicked it it was gone. It appears all times are gone for Thanksgiving at this point.

Nevermind on my earlier one must have been a glitch. I ended up getting one at 9:42 today. Dinner was gone by 9:45 for a party of 4.

That was the most stressful reservation I've ever had to get. I did have a backup in mind where we were just going to go to a steakhouse and have Storytellers another evening on the trip but I figure if I've talked my family into ditching tradition this year I wanted what I wanted.

So far we have Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe, Storytellers and WOC dessert party booked. If we can get Blue Bayou I'll be a happy camper.
