I have noticed this too. The only thing I can think of is they don't consider it Vaule anymore. For 2011 they have changed their vaule seasons. The first couple of weeks of Dec used to be considered vaule and they are not for 2011.
October has been more expensive for years. One reason may be because it has more conventions (including ITxpo) which help fill the hotels, that being because the risk of hurricanes and such is less during October.
We did October 2nd to 16th this year. I am doing 15 nights next year, which is one extra night, for a better price even considering increase prices of park ticket and upgrading DD to adult QSDP for which she got the kids plan this year. It saved me a lot by booking the last week in September and first week of October instead of all October. Flight prices also jump as soon as you hit October. At least the ones I looked at do.
We usually go in Sept, but decided to go Oct 9th-17th this year. Crowds were alot worse than we we're used to, alot of kids on fall break, plus Food & Wine Festival going on.

i think it is all because of the seasons..i am not sure baout this...was thinking the same and i think it might be due to their profits...may be that month is more advantageous for them
Late August through and including September is Value season because it is the height of hurricane season. October has some of the nicest weather of the year in Florida. September has always been cheaper than October.
