Why is my photo pass price so high?

I go onto the site and click Disney Photo Pass CD and the price is coming up at 149.99? I've been seeing here that the cost is 59.99. What's up? Is it because I have nt uploaded and ordered my prints/cd yet? I know when I ordered it last time I did not pay this much. Any thoughts? I want to order the CD again but not for 149!

Thanks,

Casey

If you haven't uploaded your prints/ input your photopass card number, I'm pretty sure that is why it is showing the higher price. Photo CDs for WDW are $149, so I'm assuming that until you put a DL photopass card in the system, it defaults to the price of the WDW CD...

Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

Sorry for hijacking this thread but can someone tell me why the prices for the WDW photopass CDs are so much more expensive? Are their more photo ops in WDW or something? :confused3

Probably b/c there are twice the parks (plus the waterparks), people stay longer, have more pictures taken, etc etc.

DLR used to have the same charge, by the way. I'm guessing they made a business decision to lower it (and it took two tries in lowering it, plus a change in shipping fee, to get it where it is now!) based on how many people were buying it, etc etc.

[Of course, there's no need to pay that full price for the WDW CD anyway, since Disney has a link to get it for 99 if you buy it BEFORE your trip.]

But yes, OP, once you enter your DLR card ID numbers in, the price should come down to DLR's price.

Thanks bumbershoot! Of all the times I've been to DLR, I had a dozen pictures at the most...if even that and definitely never bothered to get the CD. There just doesn't seem to be that many PhotoPass photographers around (or maybe I always miss them). So I can't imagine paying over $100 for a CD at WDW, especially if there aren't that many PhotoPass ops :scared1: However, what you said makes sense so maybe it'll be worth it then...

There are more photo ops in WDW. I am pretty sure they also have more "enhanced" ops at WDW than at DL. For example, at WDW near Pirates they can take your pic with a sword and make it look like you are fighting Captain Hook. In AK, you can take a pic where they add Simba to your photo so it looks like you are holding him.
