just experimenting with dates... obv not planning another one yet.. its not even been paid off yet!:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

But the week around 11th of my is the "yellow" cheaper times... why is this? is park very empty/busy? just wondering why its cheap like jan?

Its not peak season, no school holidays etc

I planned a trip to DLRP in May a few years ago (had to change my plans then because my son got Pneumonia and so we eventually had a June trip) and it was pretty cheap because the park closure was at 18 pm and nothing special was going on.
But this was many years ago cant tell you anything about next may really.

May is great if you manage to miss the school holidays - it's nice weather, the park isn't crazy crowded, and you don't have to queue for ages for anything.

I'm a bit curious with the whole colour coded price thing, we checked out some yellow dates in June and they were more expensive than blue dates in October ?!! don't know if anyone else has experienced that :confused3

I went in May in 2006, I agree with the other posters it was a lovely time to visit really nice warm weather (not too warm just right for wandering around) and not too many crowds. The only ride that had a long queue was big thunder mountain and that was 45 mins so not too bad.:)

only the UK has holidays in May ,so if you can avoid UK half term then should be relatively quiet :)

I don't really know why May is so cheap however we are looking at going from the 10th to the 14th May :-)

We went in May 2005 and the park was nice a quite with hardly any queues. The weather was better than it was in June this year too.

it works different for EACH month.... Yellow for June just means that thats the cheaper wk for that month, you can't compare the months via the colours... for instance you won't find anything cheaper than a yellow January!!

(thats if you don't get a cheaper colour that yellow!;) )

I'm not actually sure that makes sense?:rotfl: But I know what I mean!!

That makes sense.

Basically a yellow week in January will not be the same as a yellow week in May or June.

well wierdly.. i just checked out a few different dates.. and on one month i tried it over the yellow dates.. and light blue dates.. and the blue dates came out £200 cheaper???? so.. now I am totally confused.. haha... so just go for the dates you like.. as seems.. they are bit mixed up.. as yellow def are not the cheapest on there at the moment... seemed all my choices on the blue dates came out cheaper??

hehe!! I will be sticking to Januarys anyway for the next goodness knows how many years!! Its all we can afford!

I'll be there round about the 11th May - hopefully. Might not be staying onsite though - there are much cheaper options out there, even with AP discount :) .

Agreed. I've always wondered how all you rich folks afford the onsite hotels.

I'm a huge fan of the B&B in Bussy now - it's cheap, clean and it's got free wifi!

Tho like everyone else, when I win the lottery (oh the belief there!) I will be staying in that pink hotel!

Im hoping to go the 11th - 14th of may. Buying my eurostar tickets soon as they have come on line now :thumbsup2 and have cheap £65 return available. Just need to wait for the Expedia prcies to catch up ( current up to April ) so i can book a Disney Hotel if their cheap enough. Otherwise offsite it shall be again, which isn't bad at all really anyway!

When is the UK half term in May then anyone?
