I've almost given up on asking when I go to restaurants and no I don't want to add sugar to cold tea. Fresh brewed that is

My step dad had this same problem. I know he was very annoyed by it lol.

The resorts have sweet tea. It is in the tea dispenser. I believe a few quick service do as well.

At table service it is honestly die to space. As silly as it sounds most restaurants don't have the extra space for sweet and unsweet tea pitchers so they make unsweet and then offer sugar. I usually ask for simple syrup if it is a place with a bar since liquod sugar mixes easier.

There are lots of places to find sweet tea! It's my main drink at WDW!
The drink kiosk in MK near space mountain has it.
I always buy the Large sweet tea and put it in my drink bottle.
Most of the quick service places in the parks and the food courts at the hotels have the sweet tea too.

I'm talking about fresh brewed sweet tea and I'm not sure you can find it in MK

Oh!
Sorry I didn't see fresh brewed in your original post...

No I don't think you'll find fresh brewed as much.
Gold Peak sweet tea is what you can find most places.

There are a few signatures that have fresh brewed tea.

Also different parts of the country have various versions of sweetened ice tea. Coming from New Jersey we had ice tea with or without sugar/sweetner at restaurants / stores . On a trip to Tennessee (visit Graceland :worship:) I got a bottle of "sweet" ice tea at a stop while getting gas. Wow it was much sweeter than any ice tea my Sister and I had ever had. Twenty years later we still laugh about it.

If it came in a bottle that is some sort of sweet, tea flavored water ;)
Otherwise, you are right, here in TN we make tea so sweet it hurts to drink it (can't stand it myself) but we don't buy it in a bottle. We sell it to unsuspecting visitors from up North ;)

I only know it was 2x as sweet as the bottled sweetened ice tea at our local WAWA:eek: I am now a suspecting visitor from up North:thumbsup2

lol oh boy, I bet you were surprised. My grandma made sweet tea but it was mostly sugar and a little tea. Loved it when I was a kid not so much once I got older and was watching my weight!

My grandma use to say if it wasn't see through there wasn't enough sugar. She would take pitch black tea and turn it opaque with sugar haha.

Same way my grandma served her tea and her coffee. It was mostly sugar, very little coffee and made a pale as possible with a ton of milk. It was vile once I was an adult. It wasn't until I tried black coffee that I realized just how tasty it could be. It wasn't really sugary brown milk

First time I met DH's family, we were up at his cousin's place in Georgia. She was making tea. She had a simple syrup made up in gallon jugs in their garage fridge. She used 1/2 gallon into 2 gallons of iced tea, then the last 1/2 gallon in ice. She said she "made it less sweet" for my Yankee tastebuds... Yeah, I really don't want to know what the "sweet" version was like. It was like drinking tea flavored sugar.
