Those threads are posted on a monthly basis. no need for it.

And the mods have asked that they be contacted directly if there is an offensive post because with the amount of traffic here they won't necessarily see it. It's got nothing to do with tattling to mommy. It's alerting people in charge of offensive content, like they asked, without causing an altercation or needing to deal with personal attacks on the boards.

What consitutes offensive or a personal attack? Is it possible that the mods don't consider some things offensive and maybe someone is just a bit overly sensitive?

Some people alienate themselves or chose not to try and join then complain it is offensive?

Just doesn't seem fair, that's all. So many can get away with things, when so many can't.......

I'm really not that worried since I don't spend all my time on the interet.

But people are usually a little more laid back with the threads that aren't making fun them. "Freedom of speech!" "Lighten up it's a joke!" "When you post on an internet bb you have to expect all kinds of responses!" Yeah, until their turn!

I disagree. I had a spoof thread about me and was aked to come join another thread. It was all in good fun, when people thought I was actually offended by it, I was given several apologies.

I ahve been flamed with the best of them as well. I expect a certain amount of hostility, especially depending on the topic, on these boards along with the kindness

Well maybe it wasn't such a good idea, this thread. A dig at the diggers, so to speak, and if you don't like receiving digs I don't suppose you should dig unto others...

But the only other thing I'll say is - I didn't take that other thread as an insult or a dig or was offended in the least. It was more of a when I was really trying to "win the debate" or as much as you can on these boards and the other team "went out in the hall to say I was smelly". It's like, OK, you don't want to have a serious discussion - why didn't you say so in the first place?

One of my posts from a while ago was talked about, (not in a fun way) on another thread, and it irked me. It happened again a few days ago to someone else and I didn't like it. Apparently there was a history with this person I didn't know about, it's over, I give up, I have no sense of humor.

I guess I'll cancel my gig at Zanies.

But I have to tell you, the invites to come join you and have fun....I don't know, but I don't think I'd feel very welcomed!

Gobears, my best friends and family laugh at my expense constantly!! Hell I laugh at myself all the time. I think what we all need to remember is that its very hard to tell the tone a post is really made on a BB.
Try to remember that some of us are not here to debate, I really stink at it believe me , but I do enjoy watching some of those debates. There are pros here on almost every subject!
I am more of the "fluff' poster. Thats not everyones thing and thats fine.
I have enough drama in my RL and come here to laugh, tell jokes and catch up with some wonderfull people I have come across here.
