Why is GCH $900 next June?

I'm looking at 4 nights in 2015 (June 17 thru June 20) and when I search on the DL website it says the Grand Californian Hotel is $897 per night. Usually it's extremely high at around $400, but why is it insanely high during this time? How can this be?

I just did a search. The $897 is for a club level room. It's not showing any non-club rooms available for that time right now.

There is something going on June 17-19, because if you eliminate those dates the rates drop back to the $500 area. Even July 17th is only $500...

How can I find out what is scheduled on those dates? The So Cal AP's are also blocked out on Wed and Thur July 17 and 18, even though they are not blocked out any other Wed and Thur during the month. Something must be going on.

Those dates in JULY are probably blocked because of the 60th anniversary.

Regarding the dates in JUNE...I guess we'll be staying at the DLH if those are the only available prices at the GCH. But I also hope there isn't any more than a grad nite going on!

Sorry, I mis-typed. I meant June 17 and 18, not July.
