Why is everything booked the week of May 16-20?

The Marriott, Hyatt, Disneyland Hotel and almost all other good neighbor hotels except LaQuinta are full. Anyone know why?

I didnt' find this. I just booked Desert inn and suites May 13-15 with no trouble at all. I also had reservations at BW Park Place but I canceled it for a better room at Desert Inn. I got a good rate and no issues booking. Maybe a convention? May 13th is Mothers day who knows.

Anticipation of the premier of Pirates 4?

I was planning on making mine for that weekend and the weekend prior. We won't know for a few month exactly when it's going to be.

I just plugged your dates into expedia and quite a few neighboring hotels came up. The DL hotel was booked full for the weekend dates but the other two resort hotels had availablity.

I tried to get the Hyatt, even under a group conference name, and the marriott and the disneyland hotel.... It just seemed really odd considering we are still 5 + months out.... I am staying at the Grand Cal, so no worries, but a little concerned about what might be going on at the park.

I just looked on Expedia too, and it looks like the 19th and 20th are the biggest sold out dates.... Maybe that does mean everyone is looking for the pirates premier? Really?

May 19 and 20th make sense as there is a 17,000 person (nope, not a typo, 17,000) convention being held in Anaheim 5/19-24/2007. The Hilton and the Marriott are their headquarter hotels. They have a Run on the 19th right near the Marriott and welcome event at DCA on the 20th.

There is also a 300 person seminar the 14th - 19th in Anaheim (but I doubt that would affect much).

Are you planning on going to the premiere if at DL? I'm thinking about it as well and wondering if any others (like those from DeppCon) are going...

A lot of times guys the DLH website says the hotel is booked but if you call there are rooms avalable. DL says they only release so many rooms on the website but if you call them there are some. They hold back so many rooms. Call directly you may get one. Not at the cheaper rate however.........
