?? Why is early November airfare so crazy this year??

OK - what gives?? November airfare is INSANE! I am looking for November
1st - November 11th or 12th and it's CRAZY! I'm willing to extend out a day or maybe 2 if I have to -- but the flights are still super high. Anyone else going to WDW at the same time feel the same way??

This is always the case for Jersey Week IME. I know a teacher in NJ who goes to DL in California for this vacation instead because flights to Florida are so expensive but it's still a good time for them to vacation.

I'm going the 1st thru the 12th. I sat around a watched and watched airfare. I ended up with 270 round trips but I bought them months and months ago. I follow the fares on yapta and one of my fares is up 150% and one 300%.

We're heading down Nov. 10 and returning on the 14th. I was able to get SW for $99 down from Manchester, NH and JB back to Boston for $120. I was thrilled to get those prices. We just 'had' to go since the SW credit was expiring end of Nov. Saved $140 with the credit.

I feel your pain though because our normal April airfare is still pretty high and then car fares are crazy now too.

we're getting married in WDW on 11/2/2, and we got $110 airfare each way for our dates. Most of our guests booked on SW when they had the $117 airfare last week from PHL. We've been watching the prices daily though, for months, and this is definitely the lowest we've seen so far, so we grabbed it.

Theyr'e not much better late in the month either. Looking at about $100 more than last year.

We are out of Mpls, but are having the same issue with late October. Schools have off the 18th and 19th and we are looking to go the 13th-21st. nonstop flights are curently sitting at $698.00 PER TICKET! I am just sick about it. We just flew those exact same flights in April and we paid $419.00 per person. It makes me livid.

We waited for SW to release their fares and ended up booking round trip on Amtrak. We could not believe how expensive the airfare was going to be!

I ended up extending my trip out by flying in a day early and leaving a day later. It still was expensive -- ended up paying about $650 for 2 round trip flights!

It's not just November. I checked airfare daily for my August trip for months and finally bit the bullet and purchased at $140 each way (I usually pay between $82 and $99 each way). Checked again today and my flight down is up to $276 and back is up to $491!

I'm flying into Tampa in January 2013 and those fare aren't any better. Again I usually pay $99 to $110 each way. Right now the least expensive flights are $155 and $156 each way.

It's not just Orlando, but it seems like airfare in general during that timeframe is $$$$$. I tried planning my birthday trip for right at my birthday (beginning of the month) but was able to nab much lower fares at the end of the month.

Everywhere I wanted to fly around the beginning of November was expensive: Orlando, Vegas, Los Angles, Miami.

I ended up with $220 rt direct non stop on JB. Happy with that.

We got $240 round trip pp Thanksgiving week to Disney on Airtran. The day flights come out, we look for a flight. That's when you get the cheapest! BUT, last year we planned a trip in November (never happened) and looked for flights in August and they were pretty cheap.

We originally planned to leave Nov. 8th but the fare from Islip is $236 per person! The fare for the 7th is $142 so I grabbed that instead. The $188 we saved on the plane more than paid for the extra night at RPH. I don't know why there's such a huge price difference between the two days.
