It closed at 8 last Sunday. Maybe they mixed up the times on Sat with Sun?

So I was checking times for this weekend (trying to figure out when we need to leave on Friday to get in for a little while Friday and get the girls their APs. :) And I noticed that on Saturday DCA has a listed closing time of 8pm, but on SUNDAY DCA has a listed closing time of 10pm. Any thoughts on why that might be?

Not sure why it is closing earlier than usual, but I just looked at Sat. and Sun through the entire month. DCA always closes later on Sunday than Saturday it seems. Interesting.

Is it possible they might be pushing for more steam on their construction?

I wonder why they would do that? It makes more sense to be open later on a Saturday not a Sunday......it's so weird! It wasn't like that (that I can remember) when we were there earlier in Jan.

I don't think so........I think they are just closing early on Saturdays...which is just weird imo.

But wouldn't they do that on a slower night? Like Sunday? I mean it doesn't really make sense right? I just thought there was some activity that I missed going on that night....

I would have to say that it is either an error as it is very unusual to have DCA open past 9:00 pm
Or and I have no actual knowledge but if I had to venture a guess as to why DCA might close earlier on a Saturday would be that it has been booked for a special event and maybe they are compensating for the early closure on Saturday by staying open later on Sunday.???
My first guess would be that it is an error though!

That was my thought too but nothing is listed and no one has said anything here either. So I was just checking. DCA is open past 9 during peak season and on most weekends, weekends being Friday/Saturday, not Friday/Sunday. The Friday before DCA is only open until 7...so no DCA for us that night! We probably won't get in until around 9-10.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it is a hoiday weekend.
No, if anything, the park hours are longer on holidays. And plus, as Dreams mentioned, the Saturday hours are shorter than the Sunday ones the entire month.

No, holiday hours would be later. I'm hoping we get there and it was an error on the website. I'm hoping it will actually be open until 10.

But the strange thing is them closing earlier on Sat. than Sunday for the entire month.

I don't know, but when I went a couple of weekends ago, DCA had been listed as having a closing time of 10PM on Sat night and when we we left DL to go over and use our TOT FP, it was closed! I think it closed at 7 or 8. I was really bummed.

So...don't know why, but they seem to be closing earlier on Sat now. It didn't show up on the online calendar before our trip--maybe it's a recent change that was sort of a last minute decision?

And hey, I'll be there this Sun-Wed! Wear your LGMHs!!

Sooooo weird!!! DizMe, I'll have one on my Mickey bag! :) I hope to see you there!!!!

Disney for awhile was testing a little time change where they took hours from Disneyland, making them close at around 10-11 instead of 12 at Disneyland which in turn added hours to DCA to compensate. Though i dont think thats the case.

My best bet would be a part of Disneyland would be shut down and off limits to Regular Disneyland Guest, hence adding hours for people to venture over to DCA.

FYI, construction workers don't really work on Sat or Sun. :|
