As 'Ohanas?

'Ohanas has entertainment and activities for children (Hula lessons, coconut races, limbo contest) and is priced at $26.99 for adults. Boma is the same price. Do they also have themed activities or entertainment?

No entertainment (African drummers in the lobby area sometimes), but a much bigger selection of food.

I agree with the previous posters; Boma - be it at breakfast or dinner - has a higher quality of food than other character buffet/AYCE meals

Better food and more options.

And truly, the 'Ohana entertainment is really just 1 person who leads some games and sings a few songs. It's not a dinner show or a big cast.

Boma has a MUCH larger selection of quality foods. Especially if you go on Wed or Sat (rib nights!). We went on our last trip and it is now a MUST DO for us.

There is not much comparison, IMHO, with the quality of the food. Boma has so many choices. Did we mention the desserts? Oh my.

Boma is on our list of favorite places to dine. ('Ohana is not)

you're right - they should make Ohanas more expensive than Boma's but I'm not gonna tell them that! :rotfl2:

I keep hearing about how good Boma is... how are they for picky eaters? can you usually find something to eat? do they have any "regular" food on their buffet? do they have a kids buffet? We had thought about Boma for our Dec trip but I am afraid I will not like the food, but I keep hearing rave reviews. :confused3

I have picky eaters also... one is a vegetarian and we all find something that we like here.... O'Hanas is nice but the food at BOMA is much better.... the food has some funky names but when you break down the ingredients they are mostly foods that you eat....maybe just not together usually;) ... it is worth trying it.....

I'd guess it's because of the quality and selection of the food too. I like Ohana, but I like Boma better. ;)

I heard the great reviews too and went. While I can't say anything bad about the service or the quality of food... I can say for a picky eater it was not a good place to be. My daughter is extremely picky when it comes to food... she wouldn't eat anything. My DH is a meat and potatoe man (Plain is just fine for him), he wasn't thrilled. I found out that I didn't like most of the spices that they used in the food. In my opinion.. if you are on the dining plan it is great to try it.. you just never know. If you are paying, you might feel it is a waste. That's my 2 cents!:rotfl:

I also have a picky 19 yr old DS but he loves it there. He gets up at least twice for the meal & twice for desert!! It is a must for our family!! Will be there on Memorial Day - Monday the 26th!!:cool1: :cool1: And the Zebra Domes!!!

It's the same price!!! Oh No.. when I compare the two I feel for sure Boma is worth more..hope they don't raise the price. We have dropped Ohana's from our rest. selection this yr. Food is mediocre, char. interaction is not as good as many other places and activities.. well... they get old. For someone who has never been before it may be a treat, but it is just getting a bit old for us.

Plus, it's not exactly a valid comparison.
'Ohana is a family-style meal, Boma is a buffet.
'Ohana offers the same food at every meal, Boma has many foods on rotation.
