No cons as far as I am concerned as I prefer the lock-off. What is different: (a) lock-off studio has the mini kitchen and a queen bed and pull-out double size couch; dedicated at some of the resorts have two queens in the second bedroom; (b) with lock-off, both studio and 1BR have a front door (cardkey you get opens both), with dedicated there is one front door -- some with kids have a concern with the lock-off because kids in studio might exit the room unseen; (c) with dedicated, you don't have the mini kitchen and small foyer at the front door in the second bedroom and thus the room seems bigger.
