Why is 12/2-12/8 excluded from new discount?

I'll be there from 11/29-12/5 (and did actually get a Visa discount -- $240 off of a 6 night garden view CR room), but I saw on Mousesavers that 12/2-12/8 might be excluded.

I know that those dates are Pop Warner dates, but is there something else that I am not aware of? We were hoping for moderate crowds.

I find that extremely odd, too. But we did get the discount for those exact dates, so I guess that 'may not be available' ma only apply to certain hotels???? I only changed the ressie we had, I didn't even ask about other hotels. We are at CBR.

I thought it was weird too, as we typically go that week and find it very uncrowded!

However, I just called and made our reservation from the 2nd to the 10th at CSR and was able to use the code (And save almost 400!).

It's worth calling to check. I was disappointed that my two favorite mods (POR and POFQ) were both sold out for that week, with or without the code. I can't figure out why? Maybe they're putting all of the Pop Warner kids there as to not bother everyone else?

Now, I have to move on to ADRs, and I'm hoping we'll get at least a few of the things I want.

i have heard that the pop warner overflow is put in POR.
also, i was able to get the discount that week. i believe that the disney visa email does exclude those dates, but interpret that as only the values, since the prices quoted in the email are for the values.

who are the pop warner kids and will this make the parks crowded during the week of 11/28-12/05. Should we change are dates to the next week.

Between Pop Warner, Mousefest, and the parade taping, I don't think WDW needs to offer a discount to fill those rooms the first week in December. Pop Warner is a football/cheerleading program for kids. Thousands of the kids and their families come to WDW for the Pop Warner superbowl championship. The Pop Warner kids mainly stay at the All Stars, but overflow to Pop and either POR/POFQ or CBR. I haven't been able to find out which moderate they will use for overflow this year. The past 2 years has been POR/POFQ and I think it was CBR before that. They mainly only impact the parks at night.

It is not that the POR is the overflow the participants have a choice of a value The Allstar Sports, with the over flow going to the Allstar Music and then they can choose a moderate resort which has been the POR with the over flow going to the POFQ.

I called for the ZBH discount at Pop Century from 12/1-12/7 and the rooms had already been allotted for that time at the Pop Century. There also were none for any of the other Value resorts. If we upgraded to Caribbean Beach, we would've paid over $300 more.....

Didn't make any sense to me since I called on the 18th!!!! If anyone has anymore info on this, I'd love to see it....

I just called Disney. They offered CSR king bed for $1423, a savings of almost $700 from what I am paying now. No values available. DBILx2 will be joining us for 5 days so we have the family suites booked, we would have to get adjoining rooms so in the end it would cost us $500 more than the current ressie. Oh well, it was worth a try. I am still soooooooooooooo excited I leave in 102 days.

i think it's just the values that are blacked out. i called on friday and she had nothing (she was surprised and didn't know why). all i needed was dec 8 & 9th and i couldn't get CR (only suites), Poly or AKL.

i took Yacht club for $234+ tax/nite
