I was agreeing with you that the Catholic church has many "interesting" positions. And their position on ID is another "interesting" viewpoint from the Vatican.

Yippee! It's time for our biweekly Catholic Bashing thread!2funny2c said:But Alex said he closed down the thread at the request of the original poster of the thread.
As far as the Catholic Church is concerned, they have so many non-biblical and extra-biblical practices going on that their opinion on ID lacks any shred of credibility.

I need to make a "finger food" for a Christmas party this weekend. Anyone got any good ideas?
RickinNYC said:I'm not exactly sure why the title of this thread says "Why ID will win". The "win" part is what gets me. Win what? Didn't know it was a race or contest. And what's the prize? A big shiny statue?

This is my belief also... I believe G-d created us through evolution. It doesn't mean I want the G-d portion taught in my kids science classJimB. said:The war between those attempting to turn our country & educational system into a theocracy & those who are attempting to guard against it.
BTW, I'm a practicing Episcopalian & think the ID arguement is a bunch of hooey. It's an attempt to circle around the creationism gambit.
IMHO, evolution & God exist side-by-side every day. In fact, if it were not FOR God, there would not BE evolution.
And what's the prize? A big shiny statue?
Chuck S said:Unfortunately, the prize may be a generation of graduates that feel they must consult the Bible for every answer, unable to form their own opinions from scientific studies, that Biblical religion is RIGHT and any non-Christian person or country is WRONG, making foreign relations and diplomacy a thing of the past...leading to even more senseless wars.

Science should be taught in school, religious origin theories and beliefs should be taught in Sunday School, churches, synagogues, mosques and other religious buildings.
Well, gee, if the almighty Vatican disagreeing with it isn't enough...cardaway said:
