We bought DVC some years ago - never thinking that we would buy a vacation home in FL...well, we did and mostly go to HHI now en route to/from our FL house...so the points sorta build up with that kind of use.
We were able to give my niece and her family [DH, DD, and 2 DS] a long weekend at HHI [they live in western SC] - and they are there now. My niece is recovering from the loss of her Dad just over a month ago, so she is thrilled to be spending time and Father's Day wknd at the place her Dad loved the most [Hilton Head/Bluffton].
They arrived about 10:30 this morning after spending last nite in Bluffton - their room was ready and within an hour they had unpacked the car, the boys had tried out the hot tub in the room, DH and the kids had gone crabbing off the pier and they were headed for the pool!
They are in bldg 28, 1st fl and close enuf to the pool for my niece. They hope to get in a dolphin tour this afternoon, do dinner at the Parrot Cafe in Shelter Cove, get good seats for Shannon Tanner's early show and make it back to the resort for tonite's campfire!
She told me they are having a BLAST! I am sooooooo happy that I could do something sooooooo special for them!
