So I was checking the prices on my flights today to FL on Jan 11, 2014 and noticed they moved my flight from 3:20pm to 4:20pm....I called them to ask them what could be done. I am now flying same day at 8:50am and there is no additional charge to my flight for changing.

I don't think I will fly any other airline domestically again!

That's great. We are excited because we heard Jet Blue will be offering more flights from BWI soon!

They are the best, the only airline we fly. They are very customer friendly.

Delta will do that too. Just FYI. I think the change has to be 60 minutes, which yours would qualify for.

Delta doesn't have a first bag flies free though :(

They do if you have their American Express card.

I'm not saying Delta is better than JB, just that JB isn't the only airline to make free changes after the airline makes a 1 hour schedule change.

That is cool, I don't have an amex card though :(

Airlines are learning how to create loyal customers though, that is for sure!

All airlines will reschedule your flight for free when there is a schedule change. Times differ, but an hour is enough for most airlines.

I never knew that. I've never had this happen to me. I am happy with how it was handled so I shared :)

Free flight change for a schedule change of greater than 59 minutes is industry standard. Nothing unique to jetBlue. On AA 31 minutes triggers a complimentary change.

Jet Blue is my least fave of airlines that I've flown, LOL. A flight attendant treated DH poorly and a checkin desk lady just refused to listen to me, talking over me incomprehensibly, as I was asking her what she was saying. Then my TV screen thingie was broken and I was in the middle, leaving me either to watch DH's uninteresting movie or DS's young-child show. Not to mention they cost something like $500 for the flights we're taking in Jan and Feb, and I'm talking per person each way! (compared to 170 for some flights on United)

Glad all those airlines exist, to give everyone something to like!

Wait a second, you willingly paid around $500 for each ticket when you could have gotten them for $170 on another airline? :crazy2:

SO Sorry I had no idea about this so I decided to make a thread. I was quite happy with how it was handled and the treatment I got so I decided to give a shout out.....

AA also has bag fees :)

I don't think anyone is faulting your choice for JB. Your OP made it sound like since JB changed your flight on your request, that's enough to eliminate other airlines. I, and I'm guessing others, wanted to point out since other airlines give you the same benefit, it's not really a reason to stay with one airline.

You're right, other airlines charge bag fees (with some exceptions). But your OP didn't mention bag fees.

If you want to fly JB, go for it! I wish they served my airport. But it would benefit you as a traveler to know what airlines provide.

OP, liking JetBlue is fine. Others were just pointing out their policy for free changes when flight schedules change isn't unique.

Also, there are many ways to get free checked bags. As a United Airlines 1K, I get 3 free checked bags, up to 70 pounds each. Other FF programs offer the same to elite members. Holding airline credit cards can get you useful benefits as well; free bags, early boarding, etc.

Never have I had such negativity in a thread. In the future I will refrain from posting without 100% knowledge on a topic. Please forgive my ignorance.

I think you are much too sensitive to post on or perhaps even read online message boards. This thread wasn't negative at all.

Personally, I like learning new things.

Please tell me more!!! I really miss the non-stop flights to Florida that use to leave out of Dulles. Now in order to fly my favorite Jetblue to Florida, I have to make a 2+ hour trek to DCA/Reagan. I would gladly do the 1.5 hour to BWI.
