Without a corrupt Attorney General to protect him, Rove is going to have fun answering questions. The laws on contempt of congress are clear and the US Attorney for DC is required to take a contempt of congress citation to a grand jury. The bush administration ignored and violated this law but we will have a new AG on January 20, 2009 who is not a political hack and who will obey the law.
I actually am hoping that bush will pardon rove before January 20 because that means that Rove will have to anwer questions. Otherwise, I will be happy to watch Rove take the Fifth before Congress because Rove can not answer these questions without exposing himself to jail time.
