Okay, I made my reservation for FW on Sunday and put the deposit down on it then too. I called today to pay the remaining balance (so I can get my points on my Disney Visa before the trip) and I can't. I have to pay for it when I get there? I don't get it. I'm handing them more money and why won't they take it??????? Anyone know why?

Hmmmmm....did ya ask why not? We booked online and ours is totally paid for it this point and we leave on Saturday. Go to the Disney web site and click on "My vacation" or something like that. It will ask for your confirmation number. It gave me options to pay for it or I could call and finish paying for it that way. My instructions said that my reservation had to be paid in full 45 days prior ro arrival date and that they would not hold it after the 45 day point if it wasn't paid for. :confused3 I'd look into it more maybe. Call back and ask, WHY?

OMGISH!! Kristin, I just realized where you are at! I have a brother and sister inlaw that live in Waterford. She is an artist and has done a few shows in Waterford over the last few years. They have one son who is 10 today. You'd not forget the last name if you had heard it, I don't want to give it on here cause it's my last name too.

Small world.

I know for room only reservations, you can only pay the deposit, and not pay off the balance, prior to arrival. I suspect your campsite is falling under that same policy.

Did you make the reservation online??

Room only (or site only) reservations made ONLINE will only take the one night deposit and the rest can't be paid until checkin.

Room only (or site only) reservations made over the phone can be paid off in advance.

Packages either made on the phone or online must be paid off 45 days in advance.

When I reserved my campsite the first time I paid the entire balance so yes you can pay it. I then called back and rescheduled and was asked if I wanted to go ahead and pay the difference now or when I got there. I decided to delay but I could have paid.

I only get room reservations and have never had a problem with paying part or full balance. I've even called back before and paid partial amounts until it was paid off.

It may have been an inexperienced person you talked to, get your reservation # and call back again. Chances are you will be able to.

The guy only said because it was made online. I don't get it, I already have my tickets (no expiration from last visit) and just want my Visa points! lol If I have to cancel and reserve over the phone, I will. I'd like it paid off now, I have the money in my checking acct, I just want my points before the trip! :rotfl2:

My friend is a cast member, so she's looking into for me.

I had made a site only reservation and (actually come to think of it, tickets for 6 days too). Anyway, I was told more than once that because of the way it was booked, they had to have it paid upon check in. Not a big deal really; just strange. Then, when I asked again they said, 'ok" and I gave them my CC number. When I checked in they said I owed the balance still. So, they never billed it anyway. Now, on the trip we are taking in May, it is fine to pay it off how we want. Strange indeed. :dance3: Oh well.
I have found that their computer systems are set up like fort knox and there seems to be no way to humanly bypass the system. Maybe they had to do this in order to keep all things "fair". ???

We only book the cabin early but always pay it off before arrival. Not sure why you can't pay in advance. I would call the front dek and see if they can help you.

Let me ask this...if you have to pay it when you check in...can you then transfer the points to your rewards card(if you have the card) while you are there. Or..do they not actually charge your credit card until you check out?..Then you'd still have the problem of not being able use the points. We have a reservation for May at the WL and I was thinking the same thing..it's a room only..made over the phone..and I figured I too would pay it off before we left..so that I would be able o transfer the points to the rewards card. It does appear from what I've read so far..that there are differences between a room only made on line..and one made on the phone.

They won't charge it until check out and the points wouldn't apply until the statement period is over. I'm thinking about calling them to redo the reservation so I can pay it in full. I just don't get why they don't want my money. lol I'm not used to having this problem! ROFL
