The online system automatically puts cancellations within 30 days into holding status.
They will need to be manually adjusted. Give them time to make the adjustment. From the DVC Website:
"To make the process of changing reservations as smooth as possible, Disney Vacation Club has lifted the close-in reservation cancellation restrictions and will return any of your Points back as Vacation Points or Reservation Points without placing them into holding. Borrowed Points returned due to a cancellation of a Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation will not be placed in holding and will be returned to the Use Year they were borrowed from. "
However, any borrowed points will remain in the use year to which they were borrowed. and any banked points used for the reservation will need to be used by the end of the use year into which they were banked.

Chuck S - you are the last person I would question - your expertise and helpfulness is awesome. But, my interpretation of any reservation cancelled with borrowed points is that they go back to the original UY from which they were borrowed from. Or, is that what you actually meant and I am misinterpreting the second bolded part?
It seems pretty obvious by now that the closure will last until at least mid-April, sadly. Some people are speculating even longer. This is where it would be nice for definitive guidelines from all the relevant agencies. Disney/DVC will need to comply with whatever the state orders and/or CDC recommends.I am aware of the notification noted above but has it been confirmed that it applies to reservations with a start date after March 31?

Just be aware that I don’t think the borrowed points are automatically move when canceled online. So, you may need to send an email to get it done,
I had to call but that was before the official notice came out saying it was happening.
