Why have Spring Break/Easter ADRs been so EASY?

We are considering a trip during our spring break which coincides with my younger DD's birthday. I have been making some ADRs that I know we would want and it has been super easy :confused3 I was expecting the same kind of trouble that I had with Thanksgiving or July ADRs but I have gotten everything that I wanted even though people have been able to book for over a month! I have had CRT, Le Cellier, etc show up for that week, and at good times too!

Do you think this means that attendance will be lower than expected? Or maybe people are just waiting until later to bood? I mean, I thought that it was supposed to be very crowded during that time. I actually thought that maybe something was wrong with the online system and we would get to an ADR and not have a table :rotfl2:

We are back to the 180 day booking window - which makes it easier to book

As above, but also there has just been a long run of free dining with the QSDP (new for this year) offered with some of the bookings. I wonder if this has got people to try it out and encouraged those who have loved it to use it again?:confused3 It certainly has its advantages.

speculation is futile :rotfl2:

I've tried it a million times and it never works out.
The crowd levels are near impossible to predict these days.

but good luck :thumbsup2

this seems like it would make a difference but statistics say 180 day bookings do not change the number of people wanting ressies on any given day :teacher:

I'd be more apt to believe the QSDP idea or maybe everyone who would go has already gone and been lured in by the deals in the past year. Or, maybe everyone is waiting for a better deal to make up their mind about a trip.
:confused3

True- but it does spread those people out over a longer time, thus giving those who plan earlier a better chance at getting what they want.

Large groups are still booking pretty far in advance, as well as major school vacations, but the average family Disney trip in our agency has been booking just three months in advance give or take a month.

Not as many people booking way in advance anymore. I'm sure the economy and job situations have a lot to do with it.

There are still a lot of people who do not know that the window changed back to 180 days. If you were to try after mid to late December, I'm sure it would be a lot more difficult.
