Why don't you add your location to your profile?

My personal fav is people on the transportation board asking how much their airfare should be. Sometimes they don't post where they are flying from or have any location info so it is pretty hard to respond!

It does not bother me a bit if someone does not want to put where they're from. I debated a long time as to whether I would or not. I decided to, and am glad I did, but everyone has there reasons. Who am I to judge?

That's funny. I have often wondered the same thing.
I guess it takes getting burned before you get too concerned. I, on the other hand, have never been burned and should probably be more concerned w/ privacy much more than I am.

I'm with the majority here................I like to see where everyone is from. Just the State is all I need. Like I have no idea where any towns are cause I'm an Aussie, but I like to be able to put into perspective just where people live.....It's actually quite interesting

I don't always look to see but when I do, it's neat to see where people are from.

And it's fun to read when people put in some silly saying or a play on words instead of where they are from.

It's disappointing to find a blank spot there.

However, I do understand reluctance in revealing too much on the internet. We can sometimes forget, to quote DVC-Don, that "bad things can happen". Even on this wonderful site.
