Why don't we make this trip report about 2012 & 2013.

I hope everything goes well for your today Chiara... The fact that they encouraged you to come visit is very reassuring.

I hope you are able to get your orders done too! :)

Chiara,

I felt as though I were there with you at WDW with just your short post about the first day. I hope Disney gave your some R&R from the every day grind.

Here's hoping all goes well with your visit to J's school. I subbed for many years in sped classes and have seen some amazingly patient teachers who care so much about their kids. I hope that describes J's teachers this year.

:thumbsup2

Thank you both.

I went to visit the school and look around. It is a new site for this school in an older building, so the worst thing I can say is it doesn't have AC in all the classrooms.

The staff I met were all very lovely, seriously they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. We saw the classrooms really big for the amount of kids per class. They were setting them up still.

Also met the guidance counselor, the site manager and a District 75 Region Rep. They were lovely.

They haven't finalized the placements yet so I won't know his teacher until tomorrow BUT I really got a happy feeling from the place. They have a Full Time PT, 3 part time OTs (starting tomorrow) and 3 full time Speech Therapists already. The PT does want to start a sensory room so this may work for me :)

I left the building very reassured. I also think there is a school uniform so I am okay with that too :)

So school has started and I am very pleased so far. C is in love with Middle school and her 2 close friends are in her classes so that is good. C also received the art elective she wanted.

J was a little bit different. we put him on the bus at 7:04 the first morning and he was off. We received no note or anything when he arrived home at 4:20 his school days is 8am to 3pm since special ed has a longer day. When he arrived home in the same clothes he left in and dry:cool1::cool1:

He did fall asleep on the bus :)

Friday same thing sent him off and he arrived home at 4:25pm and was half asleep. We did receive 2 notes from his teacher and she seems very sweet. She just graduated college and is working towards her Masters in Special Ed :) I can't wait to meet her.

yep that was us :)

Okay back to somewhat of reality today. Need to get the kids ready for school on Thursday and need to make some phone calls about J's medicaid, his school (I am hoping I can pop in before thursday), and prescription for OT.

Also need to see what supplies we still need for C.

I am going back to work today and stopping at the grocery. I have 1 order about 95% done and one about 30% done so I would like to finish those today.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I should have said hi. I saw you taking pictures of your kids outside the Seas.... I recognized your kids by the outfits! It looked like the beautiful outfits you post.

I am so glad that both kids are doing well... Middle school is so hard to transition into - both my girls had a really rough time - it seems that V is still adjusting to it - and this is her last year. Sigh. I hope Miss C. has a great transition, and it's awesome that she has friends with her. :)

I am so relieved that Mr. J has a good teacher too - I know this was such a huge concern for you, as it should be. It sounds like he is doing great... LOL that he is so tuckered out - that is such a long day!

Thanks for the great update - it's great to have you home again, and I hope you'll sneak in a little TR too. :)

D - I am lucky that Cs middle school is a satellite of the elementary school she went to and is smaller so it has a lot of the same kids. It is on the 3rd floor of the elementary school so it wasn't as big of an adjustment but she is already loving the switching of the classes and having multiple teachers.

I am planning a mini trip report here soon need to finish uploading pictures :)

yesterday I bought some shelving for my sewing area. I need to better organize my thread and after seeing Ds shelves I kind of liked the idea of just placing them there then the thread holder :)

I am going to try and get them hung today. I also have some really cute outfits to share but photobucket has been not nice to me lately. hopefully it will be nicer later today.

Yay!!! I can't wait to see your new shelves all set up! :)

That is awesome about Miss C's school! I wish ours was like that... it's huge!

All these pictures and talk of everyone putting up shelves has gotten me envious.

I don't have any room in my sewing corner to put anything up:sad:

so great the kids are enjoying school! looking forward to seeing your photos!

So the weekend is over and I wasn't very productive except for buying shelving and some felt LOL.

Today I started something new. As soon as the kids left on the bus I walked in to the local park and did a half loop around (this park is huge) and then home for 28 minutes. This is the first time I did any exercise outside of walking in Disney and it honestly helped my outlook for the day. I am going to try and start doing this 3 days this week.

Here are a couple things I have worked on since I came home from vacation

Spiderman skirt and shirt - I need to finish the shirt Spidey is just pinned down.

and this Halloween set that just needs to be finished in the waistband and the appliques need to be sewn.

THose are adorable!!! I love that you made Spidey for a girl! And I am such a sucker for halloween... Love it!

very cute Chiara!
:thumbsup2 for getting a walk in, hope they continue to help you feel better!

These are adorable. I have those same appliques that I need to stitch out on my family shirts. I think I have more halloween designs than we have days on our short trip:rolleyes1

Thanks everyone. I am finishing a pirate set today.

I then have an evil queen shirt to do and start a different pirate set with 5 appliques.

Yesterday I started walking again and I even did it again today. I am trying to get back on track.

It sounds like J & C are both adjusting very well to the new school year. I think I would fall asleep on the ride home after a long day of school too.

Love the two skirt sets and I think you should make yourself a "SuperWoman" shirt because I don't know how you get it all done!

I'm glad the walks are having a good effect on you. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read about your last trip!

I haven't had a chance to breathe lately. It is hard to believe that dance hasn't even started yet with how busy I have been LOL.

Though I did have a meeting for the performance team on Wednesday. Looks like C is getting a new solo and she may also be doing a duo. There are lots of new members so it will be interesting to see the dynamic and chemistry between the girls.

J is now being picked up at 6:45am and I am not super happy about it but I will say this bus has been on time every single day so I am not sure I want to rock the boat. Yesterday he was actually home at 4pm so it was only an hour after school on the bus.

I am not really pleased that the teacher doesn't know when speech is starting. J really needs his speech therapy over any other therapy this is the most important. I am hoping it starts Wednesday as there is no school Monday or Tuesday.

Here are a couple things I finished this week.

Evil Queen Shirt

and this one I love. Pirate Set. I am so sad that this fabric is so hard to find and sold out in a lot of places.

I have a huge list of items to complete this weekend and have a birthday party this afternoon for my niece.
