Why don't they announce special guest sailings?

Okay I understand that a special guest or performance could always change but why is Disney not advertising special guests at sea?

The parks blog has had Broadway Stars at Sea posts about Mandy Gonzales and Susan Egan being on the Magic and it got me thinking why don't they advertise this?! My fiance and I are big Broadway fans and big Disney fans and would have dropped everything to be on one of these cruises but had no clue it was even a possibility. We have always wanted to take one of the Playbill cruises but they are always in the Mediterranean so require much more time off than a Disney cruise.

So do you think Disney doesn't advertise simply because they know a performer may not be set in stone or because they don't see them as a selling point?

That was over the Trans Atlantic cruise, where they often have guest speakers, performers, lectures and other things to fill the many many days of an itinerary. You would expect to see things like this on the Trans-Atlantic and Panama Canal crossings (essentially cruises 10+ days). I don't follow the Europe sailings to know if they offer visiting guests like that on the ship or not.

That's good to know they often do that on Trans-Atlantic cruises. I don't know if we would be able to do one of those (we want to though!) but knowing there were high caliber performances on it in addition to the Disney performances would make us consider it much more.

I know there is one group we really like that does Disney Cruises often and we had to reach out to them to find out their ship schedule. It didn't work for us but we though maybe we would have made it work if we had known before booking. Of course again with the full understanding that scheduled performers can change.

Susan Egan was on the Wonder for the NYE cruise out of Galveston in December. She was terrific!

Often longer cruises get guests, on 12 night cruises we have had guests, thry gave to fill up the schedule.

My daughter always asks the same thing. Is there any way to find out when the Disney Channel stars are on? The do it quite a bit

I didn't realise this. My daughter would fall apart if she saw someone from the Disney Channel on a cruise. She's particularly mad about Dove Cameron - I think we watch Liv and Maddie every day

Our 1st cruise in 2010 had 3 Disney stars on it. We had no idea until the 1st night and my daughter randomly saw one walking by. It was pretty cool.
It was her Make-A-Wish so I would have thought they would mention that to her wish grantors.
We were only on that cruise by chance. It was the last week I could sail being pregnant. So glad it worked out that way. Tiffany Thornton joined us for dessert one night. Awesome memories!
