Why don't people keep what they buy????

I knew of a few people who regularly bought clothes, wore them once and returned them. It was easy if the tags could be hidden. I think that's rather creepy.

But that aside, when did it become a bad thing to come here and vent? Goodness, it's a tough time of year for most retail people. Let her vent and get it out here rather than at the store!

Why is that so funny? I think there have only been a few rare occasions when I haven't tried on something before I bought it. Then again I don't have children, but I don't plan on having any. I don't think my mom ever brought us kids when she went out shopping. We'd stay home with a babysitter or my dad.

The part that is funny is trying to try on clothes with my two toddler/early preschool boys with me! Other patrons do NOT appreciate them looking under the walls of the stall, I can promise you that. And, yeah a sitter or Daddy would be nice, but when DH is gone for 6 weeks at a time, that ol' reality comes up to haunt me.

Back before I had kids, I returned a lot less stuff.

Well I've never worked in a clothing store, but when we had to restock items it wasn't nearly as easy as you make it sound. Sometimes we had to shrinkwrap the item, other times we had to just put it on clearance because there was no way we could re-sell the item at full price.

I worked in a clothing store in high school and college, and restocking returns took no time at all. Even if you had to make up another tag, it usually took less than 5 minutes. Besides, I always liked it when it was busy since time seemed to fly by, especially during the holidays.

...and people that use the fitting room to try on could have smelly pits, smelly butts, dog hair stuck to them, headlice and the list goes on :teeth:

Just think, if you don't try them on in the fitting room but take them home to do that then you are taking all that good stuff home. Bet it makes it even better when the item doesn't even fit you.

Come on people, just like everyone else on occasion the OP just wanted to vent. You don't know the exact details so give them a break.
