Is the "NDS"?? multi voltage? if its not specified for 120-240V it will probably not charge. (Possibly will swich off to avaoid damage to the circuitary)
You might need to buy a voltage converter to step it down to 120V
have you got a shaver point in the bathroom? try plugging it into the 120V side of that
We bought a DS from the US last trip and the US charger was only rated at 110VAC so plugging this into the 230VAC UK supply using an adapter won't do it much good!
As Obi says you would need a step-down transformer to use it.
When we got back to the UK we bought a UK charger:
I got a DS in Virgin at DTD (love that AP discount) and what I did to get round the problem is get a USB to DS charging cable ($3.50 at the same store).
I just plug it into my PC whenever it's running a bit low now and it charges fine.
Only thing that bugs me is that I can't do the day in DD/MM/YY.
