Why does the RFC at AK take ADR's but the one at DTD does not?

I have always wondered why the Rainforest Cafe in DTD does not take ADR's, but the one at the Animal Kingdom does. I do know you can call the Rainforest at DTD directly to make ADR's, however I am just wondering why you can make ADR's threw WDW at both locations?

we made ADR at the RFC in DTD - you have to call the restaurant direct

do you have the safari club card? if so, mention that when you call

(it's a membership card, something like $15, gets you coupons for $10 off your birthday/anniversary, and "front of the line" privilege - sort of!)

This probably has something to do with the lack of other sit-down restaurants at Animal Kingdom Park. I'm not sure why both wouldn't want to use CRO, but it would be a reason that Disney would really press to have the AK one in their system.

Are you sure you CAN make an ADR for the Rainforest Cafe at AK? I called today to make all my ADR's for April 2008 and was told by the CM that she could not make an ADR for ANY Rainforest and I would have to call the restaurant directly. Was she right?

If you search for Rainforest on the WDW web site's dining finder, the one at AK shows the 407-WDW-DINE phone number, the other one doesn't.
