With my mom, my sons and friends, I loved to go apple, blueberry and strawberry picking. I had my own raspberry patch, so enjoyed fresh raspberries, too!

Now when my Houston family comes to visit every summer, they carry on berry picking tradition, and this year picked blackberries!

Over the years I have gone to various farms and the fruits I recall picking are strawberries, blueberries, apples and peaches. Blueberries wins as the most frequent crop, some years going several times during the season.

Then there were some backyard fruit crops like cherries, raspberries, blackberries and figs.

I've never been fruit picking, and other than wild blackberry bushes growing locally I'm not sure where there is to do this. There's probably lots of places, it's just not something I've ever really given much thought to!

I have not, other than picking fruits we grew ourselves. We have grown raspberries, strawberries, peaches, plums, cherries, oranges, grapefruit, lemons, pineapples, grapes . . . (feels like I am forgetting something 🤔). My mom and aunt went to a blueberry picking farm one year. We froze the fruit and they were delicious in a bowl of cereal or over ice cream.

We have apple trees in our yard to pick from. And I’ve picked strawberries, raspberries and cherries.

I’m planning to go apple picking with DD tomorrow, weather permitting. Rain date Sunday. We go most years in late September or early October.

Some years we go blueberry picking too. And in mid October there is a cranberry festival but no picking.

We have gone strawberry picking at a local farm, and I have somewhat distant relatives that own a peach farm where I picked peaches as a kid. I also grew up in an area where we could go on a quick hike and pick all the blackberries we wanted. I'm kinda annoyed when DD wants to buy the blackberries at the store - they are TERRIBLE! They are really under-ripe and squishy. Yuck. Back when I was a kid...

It's been a long time, but I went apple picking as a kid. My mom made applesauce. My MIL picked a lot of cherries when they spent their summers in Wisconsin, used to can them.

When we lived in PA I did a lot of gleaning for the local food bank at farms, mostly vegetables but they sometimes did apples.

Yes, apples, peaches, and berries. We had pear and cherry trees in the yard when I was a kid; we never got much out of them, but definitely picked what we could. The birds usually got more. We also had a large apple orchard in town and a big strawberry patch in the next town, so would pick regularly. And, the best- wild strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Wild strawberries are my favorite food of all time.

As an adult, I go apple picking occasionally, but not even yearly anymore. I do, however, routinely visit a local orchard to buy from their farm stand. I just stopped by today, and somehow, my "quick stop for apples" turned into two kinds of apples, cider, and cider donuts.

We go apple picking most years at Johnson's Farm in Medford, NJ. I make candied apples sometimes with a few of them.

I also chose other, because we get pumpkins as well. I guess we don't pick them off the vine, but we choose them! I get one to paint, and one to carve.

Amazed you don't have pumpkins on this list! Most everyone has gone & picked a pumpkin or two!
You’re 100% right - I thought about pumpkins after I posted the poll. I can only edit the poll if no one has voted. Once that first vote happens, the poll is locked in.

Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and figs. Have been to some berry patches in the past, but mostly it's from our yard now.
