Every morning I am up when DH leaves for work and every morning 35 minutes after he leaves the house and gets to work he has to call "to see what I am doing". I suppose I should be flattered that he calls "just because", but for some reason it really annoys me....especially on the days I want to crawl back in bed!

With some of my ex BF's, that would have meant "I'm calling just because I miss you." But with the last, it would have meant, "I'm listening to see if your other BF came over when I left." (no, there was no other BF)

With my h it would be, a "it's time she was awake anyway" call. Without asking what time I went to bed.
But he didn't call too often.

It takes my SO 50 minutes to an hour and a half to get to work. We don't have a cell phone. If the phone rings after he leaves and before I get up, it scares me.

Maybe he calls to tell you he loves you, too.

I watched the 9/11 HBO "In Memorium" DVD last night and part of it was the messages left on loved one's answering machines. Very heartbreaking.
