why does everyone hate the nemo ride?

We really enjoyed Nemo when I was last there in March this year - do agree about the dark and twisty queue area though.

I don't hate it. We do it a couple of times. I find it relaxing. The only thing I do not like about it is that, without fail, somebody on both sides of me are always always always taking flash pictures.

I like the movie Finding Nemo and we have a 2 year old who loves the movie and the musical at Animal Kingdom.

BUT, I feel like Disney just did a hasty thrown together ride for it. It feels like a temporary ride thrown together with the intent of making it easy to replace later.

I almost wonder if they'll change it after Finding Dory comes out? I really hope so. It seems like any other attempt would be better.

I like it. It seems great for kids. Watching the nemo characters swim with the real fish, the tunnel with crush and his turtle friend, dory...

But my husband HATES it. Just for the last 45seconds "where they song that stupid song"
I don't think the song is that bad. He does.

I didn't know "everyone" hated it. Must have missed that DIS memo. Personally, I like it. I think it's cute. My family loves the Nemo show at AK, so this is a nice tie-in to that for us. And I did experience the original Seas when I was a kid and I remember liking it, but I'm not heartbroken over its demise. I still like looking at the aquarium and exhibits, and I don't feel like the way I get there diminishes my enjoyment. (I do understand the sentiment some have for this, however, as the Mexico ride was one of my favorites as a kid. I was initially upset over the Three Caballaros addition, although I've now warmed to them.)

I want to add that this is one of my 4-year-old's favorite ride precisely because it's completely not thrilling. She is terrified of anything that she thinks is even remotely fast or bouncy. I finally got her to go on Dumbo on our last trip and now she likes it, but she does not like Winnie the Pooh or Peter Pan because they are too "thrilling" for her. So, I am glad that there is a cute ride she can enjoy without being afraid.

My only problem with it is how long the queue is. Not the people in the line mind you, but the walk to the ride. I think it takes longer to walk there than the ride

Then again, Maelstrom is probably my favorite attraction (movie included), and I like Stitch (but not as much as the alien encounter, RIP).

I like the Nemo ride better than the Nemo show (AK).

But that being said, I skip the ride as often as I ride it.

We like it. During our first family trip to WDW, my oldest was afraid of dark rides. She started crying during Pooh and refused to get on any other dark rides after that. During the second day of our trip, we went to EPCOT, thinking this would be a long trip if she won't do indoor rides. We talked her into trying Nemo and she LOVED it and we rode it 4x in a row. It really changed our trip so it will always have a soft spot in my heart.

It's not an amazing ride, but it's cute. I enjoy it and always ride it at least once every trip. The only ride that I can say I "hate" (I have never ridden Stitch) though is Figment. That one is awful!

Don't hate it, don't love it. But, it is a pleasant ride if you want to sit down for a few minutes before seeing Turtle Talk with Crush!

I like the Nemo ride - especially the jellyfish part! Certainly not amongst my absolute favorites, but I would consider it a do-for-sure if the line's not too long and I'm in the area anyway for Soarin' and Living with the Land!

Incidentally, on our very first trip in Oct of 2006, the line for Nemo was all the way out past the seagulls out front. Ouch, that was quite a wait. The queue is cute, but not THAT cute! Thank goodness I have since found the DISboards and don't wait in lines like that even for headliners!!

It's okay---too short in my opinion and it's annoying that several of the moving features no longer move. We rode it last week and the jellyfish barely moved, the shark didn't jump out and the deep sea fish didn't move either. C'mon----Disney needs to fix stuff like that.

I think it's pretty cool- the technology is above most of the dark rides. I love the projections in the fish tank especially.

The clammobiles and whatever they were called when it was the Living Seas are really just a way to get from point A to point B (and a way to slow down the amount of people getting in to see the aquarium). I don't consider it a full ride- but really a mode of transportation like the peoplemover.

45 years old here and like the ride.

Me too on both accounts! I like the queue especially, it is dark and cool and welcome on a hot day in Epcot. You can also get a different ride "show" depending where you are on the ride, so multiple rides provides a "slightly" different ride. Especially at the Crush part.

Ride the ride, wander through the aquariums - the Manatees are great. Catch Turtle Talk. It all ties well together for a good midday diversion.

Besides, what the heck else is there to do in Epcot, walk around and drink?

Well, I do love this too. La Cava is also dark and cool and welcome on a hot day.

The original seacabs "ride" wasn't anything special that I remember. I thought we were just talking about the ride portion.

I miss the original pre show the most - but the hokey hydrolators and seacabs into seabase alpha was nothing to write home about (not to mention the seacabs were closed down for years and years).

I like Nemo and all but I prefer the old Living Seas, where it was designed like you were in an underwater science lab...Seabase Alpha. What i liked about Epcot was while it is a Disney Park, it's not Disney all over the place, in your face. It had a seriousness to it...and retheming it to Nemo took that seriousness away.

And I got motion sick from watching the ride in that spot over and over and over for 30 minutes.
