why does a deluxe resort share a bus with 5 other resorts ????

I have to agree as I said just above I just returned and found the sharing not a big deal. It was a dedicated YC/BC bus to MK and then for AK it seemed to change on demand...my problem is the amount of time I would spend waiting for a bus. They supposely run at least every 20 mins. We waited several times over 40 mins..especially to MK...in fact left 1 hr 20 mins early to get to hoop de doo and JUST made it. We waited 50 mins for a bus for MK had we not been lucky enough for a boat to be right there when we got to MK...we would have missed Hoop de doo. They really need to get on how often those busses run...

We've stayed at the YC three times and have no complaints about the bus system. We've never had waits unless it was at a park at closing. The fact that the buses serve multiple resorts mean they come frequently. Because the transportation to Epcot and MGM is so good (our own feet mostly), we just look at the buses to the other two as a trade-off.

We don't think the transportation to Downtown Disney is good at any of the resorts we've stayed at and always drive there. The only real bus problem we've ever had getting to parks was at a resort with its own bus that generally gets great transportation reviews -- All Star Sports.

Fantasia -- AKL DOES have its own bus. But that's all it has -- no walking to resorts, no boat, no monorail. I like the atmosphere there, but still consider it to be barely a deluxe b/c of the location.

Akl has had the BEST transportation system of all the resorts we have stayed at...regardless that it is ONLY a bus system. I really don't understand why some find that a draw back. I find the busses much more efficent than the boats and at least the busses are cool...even w/ the AC running on the boats.........it is soooo hot! I mean I get the monrail thing but overall I really don't like the boats.

The buses have been my one frustration with staying at BW. Last time I was there (2002), we shared with all the EPCOT resorts. I could almost live with that, but why does the trip back from DTD have to be such a hassle? Three stops, and the last one at PI lasted an eternity (at least 10-20 minutes) every single time we went. Then we had the tour of EPCOT resort bus stops. It's now at the point where we don't even want to go over there anymore. Also, we had a similar experience to the previous poster who barely made it to HDDR, except we waited 40 minutes for the MK bus and then took a cab. I know I sound like a complainer, but this is the one thing that just bugs the heck outta me, and I wish there was something that could be done about it. I guess in an ideal world, we'd all be on a monorail everywhere! ;)
