We love the ambience, dining options, reminiscing about countries we've visited or would like to visit, Illuminations, and how romantic it seems walking around after Illuminations, when the park is very uncrowded.

This is a park that doesn't seem to be defined by its major attractions (although it has some), so I'm wondering what it is that other people love about it.

I like that you can move around in world showcase at a snails pace and not worry about missing anything. I like it because you can do the major attractions first thing in the morning and take it slow the rest of the day by taking in WS, JIYI, and Spaceship Earth. Oh, and I like the pecans and almonds!

World Showcase is my favorite part The architecture, the entertainment, the gardens, and the food are all wonderful. Future World has always been OK (Mission: SPACE, Test Track, and Imagination are all fun pavillions though), but I perfer WS much more.

World Showcase is really the only reason that we go to EPCOT (well, okay, Test Track is pretty fun too!). WS is such a beautiful, fun and relaxing place to be...and the food that you can try from all of the countries...Yum!!!!

As my name states I L-O-V-E Epcot (mainly because of WS). I agree with what everyone has already said. You just can't beat the overall atmosphere and you can really take your time and just sit back and take it all in. I have always found WS very romantic and now I definitely always will-- on my Oct. trip I got engaged at Epcot during Illuminations!! :teeth: It was a perfectly magical setting for such a special night and now WS will always hold an extra special place in my heart . . . . :)

1) It's uniqueness
2) The music!!! We love the entrance music (by spaceship earth) and the innoventions music!:)
3) Morocco
4) Figment
5) The romance of walking around the WS before Illuminations on a beautiful evening:lovestruc
6) Leave a Legacy
7) Flower and Garden Festival
8) The Living Statue
9) Chocolate Wave at Coral Reef
10) ILLUMINATIONS!!!! I tear up every time I see it!

I could go on and on........wish I was there right now!
Great thread!:goodvibes

I love World Showcase because it's completely different from the other parks at WDW. The pace is slower and you don't feel like you're in a theme park any more. The Kidcot stations are a big hit with my kids and the pavillions give the kids plenty of room to run around a little bit.

i love epcot because of WS and

everyone told me that it wasn't a park for kids
that the kids would be bored well they
were wrong it is my DD (10) fave park and she was 8 at the time

Epcot's music, open walkways, fountains and "smells" give me a sense of calm. It is the park I am most comfortable and relaxed in. I never feel rushed there.

Then there is the awesome food and the WS restaurants, the great times we have in the Rose & Crown enjoying a pint in the afternoon, the wonder of Illuminations, the shopping in the countries...I could go on and on.

Being a saltwater fish nut... I find myself spending most of my time at the Living Seas.....

thats funny..most people on here say they go only for the world showcase..i only go for the future world. lol..i love it because its cheezy and educational.

I don't remember my first trip to WDW in 1980 (I was 3) or my second trip the next year (good thing my mom took all those pictures), but I remember when we went in 1982. Since it was the first year Epcot was open, my parents were so excited. I'll never forget meeting Figment and Dreamfinder or playing for hours at Journey Into Imagination.

Though my parents tell me I was less than thrilled about World Showcase, Epcot for me is my first tangible WDW memory. For this reason, I'll always be more than a little nostalgic about Epcot.

My heart is with World Showcase because....

You get the most live entertainment of any of the parks. I cry every time I hear the Liberty Singers.

All the language accents make me feel like I took a trip around the world.

It's a little bit of a geography lesson, especially for the younger ones.

There's a wide assortment of eats.

Illuminations is a very special fireworks show like no other.

If you go during special activities like the Flower and Garden Show, Food and Wine Festival or Christmas it's fabulous.

Everyone seems friendlier there to me.

And It's open late all the time.

I agree that World Showcase is the big attraction. It's kind of like a very nice travelogue. I also love Spaceship Earth but if they change it, I may end up spending even more time in World Showcase (and spending more money! ;) ).

The music, the open spaces, water themes, TT, SE and other "different" experiences at Epcot including WS - all these make Epcot one of the family favourite parks and we all love it there

Thanks
