How 'bout a spring break trip in 2009? We'll probably be going back to WDW in Mar 2009 since we'll have annual passes again (from our Oct 08 trip).

If you stashed $100/month in your secret little cubby hole, you'd have close to $2k by then. Just "charge" the rest!
How about you plan a Southern California trip around us in 2009? :rolleyes1

I was sad to miss out on the first couple hundred pages :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: but am glad I got to join in when I did. Heidi is the one who pointed out your trip to me and I saw that you had posted a few times in my March report.

I notice your siggy is all balanced and centered like mine. Great minds think alike.
Yup. I read your March TR. It was so much fun reading that one. So, I'm glad Blue pointed you over here and look what great friends we've become. OCDers unite! :rotfl2:

Phew I didn't like to think of me as not real :rotfl2:

So I am #1 something :yay: :yay: :yay: :rotfl2: So am I your only Brit friend too? IRL or imaginary :rotfl2:
I kinda sorta know a couple of other Brits. There is another DISer who I mainly know on my MySpace. She lives up in the NW part of Britain. I used to know another guy who was a professor at Syracuse University. He was from London and I remember him talking about his family back in the UK. He would talk about his "London flat" and "country home". I think he had some bucks but he was sweet. Good old Alastaire. I liked that name. But you're still my #1 Brit!

Good stuff, DM. You made me want to read about every trip I can... :goodvibes You can come visit me on my TR soon. :wizard:

What Fantastic final words for a Fantastic report. Thank you so much for taking us all along your journey. I am so glad I got on board and read along :)

I'm so sorry I found this just as it ended, but I guess I'll get to read all of it, anyway! I'm looking forward to it!! Thanks for the hotlinks!!

Rob and I were watching the Travel Channel the other night. Samantha Brown was on with her Disney Holiday special. Rob commented that it seemed like a long time already since our vacation to Disney World at the end of June. I sadly agreed.

I wish that we got those Disney travel shows up here. Canadian programming is no good sometimes.

It’s hard for me to write my final thoughts now. Some people will think it’s a bit over the top but I am a bit teary eyed now writing this.

I was the same way when I finished my trip report, not over the top at all. You put a lot of yourself into this report so it is only natural that you would feel sad that it is finished.

However, and there is always a however, eh? Rob and I did miss the Yacht Club. We had stayed there in 2003. It is almost impossible to compare a moderate to a deluxe like that but we still did from time to time. As much as we loved POR, if we ever could swing getting a deluxe next time, the Yacht Club would be our first choice!

It does look like a very lovely resort. I too would love to stay there someday.

This vacation was a wonderful one for me and my family. We had a great time. Sure, there were some low points but in the whole, the good times and great memories so made up for any low times.

I totally agree, every trip will have its low points, you just have to let all the good in and forget about the bad.

Evan came home from school right before Thanksgiving with a drawing of Blizzard Beach with a couple of sentences of what he was thankful for this year. He wrote ...

“I am thankful for my parents. They took me to Florida. We stayed there 7 days. It was a lot of fun.”

That is so sweet, I bet that made you feel so wonderful. It is things like that that really let you know that the time and effort put into planning these vacations is so worth it.

And I know you all here at the DISboards will be here to help me plan it. Until then I will be reading your Trs and living vicariously through all of your trips.

You bet we will! I am so glad that you will be sticking around the boards to chat with all us crazies. :goodvibes

I want to thank you all for reading and giving me the most wonderful comments. It has meant so much to me to have you all here and I feel truly blessed that I have made so many new friends! ... even if you all are just virtual. ;) :grouphug:

Thank you so much for writing this wonderful report and sharing your vacation memories with us. I am so glad that I met you, the Dis wouldn't be the same without you!

This really is a lovely family photo. I loved getting a copy of it in my card. I got it on Friday, thanks for spreading the holiday cheer. :santa:

Awwww... DM- I'm sad your TR is over!!!! At least you made it last 6 months!!! that's 1/2 of a year!!!! Geaux you!

And, totally don't call me out what ranking I came in on b/c while I began at #1, I probably ended up as #3258483. But.... I'm a lurker!!!! So, I read everything!!!!

I absolutely LOVE your family picture... It's beautiful!!!! I think it came out perfect, and is a perfect way to remember your vacation.

I'll miss checking for updates b/c your TR is one of the only reasons I visit the DIS these days with the little free time I have so you have to keep in touch some way!!!!

You did a great job on the entire thing, and I loved reading every bit of it!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Good stuff, DM. You made me want to read about every trip I can... :goodvibes You can come visit me on my TR soon. :wizard:
Thanks HSM! Read as many TRs as you can, but they won't be as good as mine. Joke. Thanks for being in my top 10 posters. You are officially number 10!
