Ouchie! Poor Brookie! I wonder if a swim diaper would also help keep some of the water away from her sensitive area?:confused3
I hope she got better soon.

I can't hear the video 'cause my darn speakers are broken! :headache:

AWW  poor Brookie.

That's just not acceptable about that bathroom, I would have gone to City Hall and said something.

At least you have figured out what was causing it, but so scary when you are far from home.

BTW, was playing the oh so cute video and the pugs had their noses up against the computer checking it out!

That is good to know. Was this before his disability was diagnosed or after? Just curious on why LtP was giving him the vitamins.

Celebration has a medical center also. My cousin had to bring her son there because he had a concussion from a fall at the AK that went unnoticed for 3 days! She felt so bad ... and won the mom of the year award NOT

Head towards Crossroads, take a left instead of going into the shopping area, and it's a 1/2 mile on the left.

Takes about 10 minutes from the Boardwalk... 2 minutes from Cypress.

Oh my gosh, poor baby! Listen, I'm allergic to chlorine and was much more sensitive to it as a kid - broke out in hives if I didn't rinse it off every 20 minutes or so - so boy-oh-boy can I empathize with Brookie! I hope she recovers enough to enjoy some of the last day.

:sad2: Sheesh, Never listen to Buzz. He remembers how to get to the clinic, but he doesn't remember the actual story.

Trey was only 4 months old at the time. At 2 weeks old he developed colic and would just scream for hours on end so I was desperate to help him. Our pediatrician told us there was nothing we could do. Just wait it out. It was so bad and in spite of what the dr. said, I knew Trey was in pain. It was such a horrible time-I talked to a friend of my SIL's and she suggested Nutramigen formula-it was designed for colic. The only snag was, at that time, it was about $20 a can and hard to find in our town. But we were desperate so we tried it, and it worked. Took the colic away.

Now at 4 months old, here we are going to WDW and I still remember the colic and how much he'd scream and I'm praying he doesn't do that on an airplane b/c I couldn't get him to stop. Would make for a long plane ride. Just about week before we leave, he starts teething and is very uncomfortable and crying a lot so I went back to the dr. and he says you can give him teething tablets that you buy at the grocery store. So I did. That's what he was taking. Not a vitamin supplement. Does Buzz ever pay attention to his family???? :sad2:

So when he'd cry I"d give him that. Only little did I know, he couldn't tolerate it. He'd scream just like when he had colic. He didn't have convulsions. He'd just cry. A lot. At Epcot, we couldn't get him to stop crying. We ended up taking him to that clinic where the dr there said to quit giving him the teething tablets. He pointed out to me that on the label it contains belladonna. :scared1: We quit that stuff and he was ok after that. And he wasn't diagnosed yet-that came later. It's been an odyssey, that's for sure.

Sorry for hi-jacking your TR, but I wanted to clear that up, lest I sound like a nut thanks to Buzz. The video of Brookie was super cute! And I'm glad you figured out the problem. It sucks to not feel good on vacation. And blisters-Yikes!! Not a good place to be with blisters on your feet. After about a week of walking, I get what I call my "Disney splints." It's not like shin splints, but I get pains in my muscles just shooting up my calves. It only happens in Disney. So much walking.....

I know EXACTLY what you are describing!!! And that is usually the only place where I get them too - especially up that horrendous incline going into "The Land"! :scared: Must also be the anticipation of SOARIN', too! :goodvibes

No swimmie diapers for her. She would never wear them and I refuse to buy them. She is housebroken ... :rotfl2: . Seriously, we haven't put her in a swim diaper since she was an infant.

Get a new pair of speakers now girlfriend. You don't know what you are missing!

AWW  poor Brookie.
Thanks!

No time for that! Plus I didn't even think of it.

At least you have figured out what was causing it, but so scary when you are far from home.
Yes. It was such a bummer having it happen that last day. But I guess it happening any day would have stunk too.

BTW, was playing the oh so cute video and the pugs had their noses up against the computer checking it out!
How cute is that? Totally!

Oh, we are used to that now!

God chose the right parents for Trey. It takes a special parent to be able to cope with a child's disability, whether it be colic (not really a disability but a problem nonetheless) as a baby to whatever else life hands them. You and Buzz certainly are good parents, not matter what Buzz wants us to believe! :lmao:

Sorry for hi-jacking your TR, but I wanted to clear that up, lest I sound like a nut thanks to Buzz.
I certainly don't think you hijacked this TR! Now if you kept posting and posting and posting about everything you think you have to explain for Buzz, well, then THAT would be hijacking ... :rolleyes1

Thanks. Blisters really were bad! If I was contemplating an ECV, then you know it was bad. Luckily, even though I am out of shape, the rest of my body kept up with me. But we weren't running around a lot. It was all about the kids so we rested whenever we needed to.

You mean the 90 degree incline to enter The Land??? :scared:

First, do I have to listen? Can't I just read this? ;) Second, I'll just tell you that things eventually get better ...

Special PM sent your way :goodvibes
And how sweet were you???

Miserable Back at the Room & Fun at the Magic Kingdom!

Hopes:
1. More PhotoPass pictures taken...
2. Good lunch at The Liberty Tree Tavern...:thumbsup2
3. Relief of my blistered feet...:guilty:
4. A meeting with the Dream Team

Wants:
1. A magical day to remember on our last day...:confused3

So, it was back to Port Orleans for Brookie and I. As we neared the bus area at the Magic Kingdom I saw that our bus was there already so I started to slowly jog while I was pushing Brookie in the stroller to make sure I got the bus. I couldn’t go very fast because of my feet but I just had to get that bus. I saw the bus driver get back on the bus and close the doors. Oh crap! But another bus driver who was standing there saw us and got the attention of our bus driver to open the door for us. Thank heaven!

I get Brookie out of the stroller and have her walk on first. I then just pick up the open stroller and get on the bus. The driver shot me a look and I said immediately to him, “I know I have to close it. I just wanted to get on. Plus there is no one on this bus.” I quickly folded the stroller and we were off.

This bus trip seemed like the longest ride ever. Did the bus go straight to the Main Building bus stop at POR? Of course not. It normally goes to the French Quarter first. Okay, I’m fine with that because the next stop is always the Main Building bus stop. But not on this occasion. Nope. No sirree Bob! The bus takes the scenic route around the entire Riverside area before going to the Main Building. And I have Brookie crying still. Finally, we get off at our stop and she gets in the stroller and I push her back to our room.

We get into our room and I kick my Crocs flops off. I take care of Brookie. I cleaned her all up you know where, added some Balmex, and she seemed fine. I turned on the TV and just relaxed. Brookie started crying because she wanted her Daddy now. She wanted him NOW. That was it for me. I totally broke down and bawled my eyes out. I totally felt sorry for myself and I needed a good cry. My sobbing really surprised Brookie as she did calm down after seeing me. But it took me awhile before I could regain my sanity.

Around 11 am-ish I was hungry so I gathered up our refillable mugs, got ready, and Brookie and I went over to Riverside Mill for some counter service lunch. I didn’t much feel like eating there so I got everything to go. I ordered a plain hamburger with fries and a chocolate cake along with a bottled water. I got Brookie some chicken nuggets with grapes and a cookie. I then went over and filled the mugs with Diet Coke and Lemonade.

As we were heading out the doors one of the mugs turned over and crashed to the ground spilling all my Diet Coke. Great. I picked up the mug turned around, and headed back in to refill the mug again. I hate those new mugs. They are so unsteady. This time we carefully walked back to the room, taking our time. We had a quiet lunch in the room while watching more TV.

Meanwhile, Rob, Evan and Alec began their day in the Magic Kingdom. I’m not sure what they did before lunch but Rob took some video at the Liberty Tree Tavern. Watch very closely to Evan’s appetizer. I dedicate this video to Buzz. I know he will appreciate it!
The boys begin their day ...

Now here’s a funny thing. Rob was shaking his head at me taking pictures of all our food. Yet, he videotaped it ... Hmmmm .....

Alec ordered the kids meal mac and cheese with a garden salad. Evan was very excited that he got to order from the adult menu. There was absolutely no problem in doing this, even though he was only 7 at the time. The CM did not question Rob using our adult TS credit for Evan. Evan ordered the Tavern cheese sticks for his appetizer and salmon for his main entree. He loved it all! Rob got some sort of turkey pannini, I think. And I don’t know what they got for desserts. They don’t remember now and I didn’t think to ask at the time. But it was a good meal for all of them. That made me happy.

After lunch Rob called me ...

you had a break down. u seem so calm and collected. I can understand when a child is unhappy and it makes you feel bad.

seems like they had a nice lunch.

79 days and i will be in Riverside Mill eating. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

That's good.

Really, why would it? :sad2:

I totally broke down and bawled my eyes out. I totally felt sorry for myself and I needed a good cry. My sobbing really surprised Brookie as she did calm down after seeing me. But it took me awhile before I could regain my sanity.

Oh, no. I will say that if I'm driven to tears, it usually improves the behavior of my kids considerably. I think they get freaked out. :rolleyes1 Sometimes I want to do it just for the reaction. Not that I would. Exactly. :rotfl2:

This just isn't your day, is it?

That video is totally Buzz.:lmao:

I am so sorry that you were having such a hard time. I probably would have cried as well.

OMG looks like I might be 1st this time... by the time I post... prob not :(.... Sounds like a really rough day DM!! I don't blame ya for needing a good cry

Love both videos..... :)

Oh dear. I'm sorry you had a breakdown

I bet you felt better afterwards though.

I enjoyed your video and laughed at the stringy cheese part dedicated to Buzz :lmao:

I think your DH is a sweety for videoing the food. He knew that's what you would have done :goodvibes

 That was like me and my and my food tray :headache:

Now here’s a funny thing. Rob was shaking his head at me taking pictures of all our food. Yet, he videotaped it ... Hmmmm .....
:rotfl: Was Rob teaching his kids to play with their food :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I definitely had a breakdown. I really am not a calm and collected person. I am actually very paranoid, or a better word may be a real stressor. But I never broke down like that in front of the kids until that day.

Yeah for you and your countdown!

Oh, no. I will say that if I'm driven to tears, it usually improves the behavior of my kids considerably. I think they get freaked out. :rolleyes1 Sometimes I want to do it just for the reaction. Not that I would. Exactly. :rotfl2:
Oooh ... the true you comes out! :rotfl2:

That video is totally Buzz.:lmao:

I am so sorry that you were having such a hard time. I probably would have cried as well.
Isn't it a bit sad that I think of Buzz when I'm viewing my home videos?

Me too. i hope it got better for you! At least Brooke started feeling better.
I needed that breakdown and we both felt better later!

OMG looks like I might be 1st this time... by the time I post... prob not :(.... Sounds like a really rough day DM!! I don't blame ya for needing a good cry

Love both videos..... :)
Not even close to being first!

Oh dear. I'm sorry you had a breakdown

I bet you felt better afterwards though.
Not only is it bad being the last day but to have something like that happen. I needed that cry big time. And it felt good afterward. Things do pick up from here ...

I enjoyed your video and laughed at the stringy cheese part dedicated to Buzz :lmao:
Yup! I think Buzz is "catchy".

I think your DH is a sweety for videoing the food. He knew that's what you would have done :goodvibes
I think it's funny that Rob videotaped the food. WTG my guy!

Oh DM  sometimes you do just need a good cry
Don't we all?

 That was like me and my and my food tray :headache:
I was mad and upset all at the same time when that happened.

:rotfl: Was Rob teaching his kids to play with their food :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
