I never went on any of the rides that lifted up. I was so afraid my weight would keep it down and it would never get off the ground. Dumbo included.
You definitely should never think that way. You are not that big. I'm thinking the guy that lives in Mexico who is over a ton could not ride any rides. Next time, it's Dumbo for you!!!! :dumbo:

Oh my gosh! You went on Primeval Whirl?!:scared: Last year we went on it because it had been awhile and then we realized why we hadn't been on it! B.F. practically squished the life out of me. I wish we coulda been there the same time! That woulda been fun!
Of course I went on Primeval Whirl. I am a fast ride kinda gal. Gimme loops..gimme turns...gimme all you got baby! Except don't lose my Crocs.

:rainbow: Thanks for the update!! I am glad that I got counted as some number in the end....
I thought the number thing was funny. I was wondering how I was going to sort out that one! I won't be doing that again. I'll have to think of any little ploy....

Love the trippie. Where, exactly, is the AK rope drop? Also, if you went right from Rope Drop to EE for fastpasses, what was the return time on them?

Thanks!

Love the pics!

I'm glad you joined my TR. Since I'm not good at describing where the rope is, I took a picture of the map and put the Rope Drop from DinoLand in Red and the pathway to Expedition Everest in dashed Blue.

Even when you do this whilst I'm awake I still miss the fun :confused3 :rotfl2:

I'm sorry DM but that made me laugh :rotfl2:
That's what you get for not checking my thread! It was like totally fun! I am serious about losing my Crocs! But glad it made you laugh...

You do realize I leave on Tuesday , right? Is this little adventure going to be complete by then, or am I going to bel eft hanging until I come back:confused3 :headache: :hourglass
Are you kidding me? No way in heck will it even be close to done. You'll probably only miss about 3 or 4 updates to it'll be easy for you to catch up! :thumbsup2

A new update:cheer2: Blue and I may have been wrong. You may just finish with the Animal Kingdom updates by Christmas:rotfl:

That is too bad that you did not get to ride Expedition Everest with Laura but at least you guys had a wonderful breakfast.

I love Brookie's refusal to smile for the camera:lmao:
Yes, probably done before Christmas. I'm thinking maybe by Halloween? :rolleyes1 My kids really know how to bring on the charm, eh?

Wow, that is far away from EE!!! I wonder whether it might be more advisable to go back to the tree of life rope drop? But then, I will never get a chance to test it as I won't be back in WDW before they end the Breakfastosaurus thing... I wonder where the rope drop for the people brekfasting at Tusker House will be once the character Breakfast moves there...

Speaking of Crocs, I'm curious about getting them for next year's trip. Honestly, were they comfortable walking around WDW?

We had a fine day. It was very hot and soupy but the wind was horrible. My hair was all over the place and I couldn't stand it. I heard that Brooklyn had a tornado touch down. Where are you? Are you in NYC or just close to it?

That is what I heard about Brooklyn. I am on the upper west side on 70th close to Lincoln Center. It actually woke me up the storm and I never get woken up.
Mocha barked from 3am until 5am, because SOMEBODY is afraid of a little THUNDER... :sad2: It actually poured pretty heavily - Bob said a few local roads were flooded on the way to work. But it ended up being a great "pool day"! :cool2:

Well, at least you weren't near that. Thank goodness. I'm not too familiar with NYC. I have lived in NY all but 1 month of my life and I have never been to NYC. I guess I am a bit intimidated by it. I've been to Los Angeles a bunch of times but NYC, well, that scares me. Go figure! :confused3

i lived in LA for 2 years and I feel safer walking down any street in NYC at 3 am then I did in LA at any time. You should really come down. Try to get tix to "Little Mermaid" when it opens. I would love to see "Mary Poppins" but just have not gotten the tix yet. I was going to a Dismeet last week but it was canceled and hopefully it will be re-scheduled for September at "Alfredo's".
If you do ever come down let me know I will show you all around. "World of Disney" 55th and 5th. great store. I think I am going to go there and see about a part time job while I get me certificate.
You have to get in line, Scott. DM is coming to visit me first. :thumbsup2

I had heard that the Little Mermaid was coming to Broadway. I think that it may be time for me to make a return trip to NYC.

I also really want to see Mary Poppins! If have heard wonderful things about it.

Tried to get "Mary Poppins" tickets for Dana's birthday next week- $150 a ticket, and even though we live 45 minutes away, we still like to stay overnight, and the Marriott Marquis was $400... that was too much for even Bob to agree to! :rolleyes1
Last year we took her to see "The Drowsy Chaperone" with a "thrill of a lifetime" backstage visit to meet Sutton Foster in her dressing room! That was the best birthday present ever! The year before that, her birthday gift from our friends was to see "Wicked" and we all went along... but Bob & I surprised her and we took her to see "Phantom of the Opera" the day before. (that was a TWO NIGHT stay at the Marquis... ouch. lol) We call her our "Broadway Baby"! :goodvibes

That is great that you get to visit so often! I have only been to NYC once and that was about 10 years ago when I was 14. It was a girls trip to the city. My mom and I took the train up from Virginia and we meet up with an old family friend and her daughter who took the train from Rhode Island. I think we stayed at Loews and shared a room. It was only a two day trip. It was definitely not long enough and we did not even get to see a show on Broadway. I was very disappointed about that. I swear we spent half of one day looking for the Girl Scout store for Jen Jen. We kept passing all these amazing stores that I wanted to go into but couldn't because gosh darn it we had to find that Girl Scout store.

When I go again I want to go for a week so that I have time to shop, visit the museums, see the landmarks, go to some shows and just enjoy the city.

You could probably stay a month and still not see everything there is to see and do! :goodvibes NYC is like no other place in the world! :cool1:

Love the pics DM!

I agree that the section of the park with primevil whirl looks really dumpy. It's totally not a Disney-looking experience!

Ok I'm second.

I LOVED Wicked. Best musical. I want to see Avenue Q and Mary Poppins. Also I want to see "Xanadu"

I told her to smile for the picture but she said, “No. I don’t
wanna.”

As we were flying high on Triceratops Spin I snapped this picture of Primeval Whirl. But I
don’t like it. It really reminds me of a dumpy amusement park. I dunno...

Brooke is too cute! Woody does this fake smile thing that drives me crazy - it might be just as well to have him say "no" to smiling in the first place. ;)

That section of the park confounds me. The theming is SO good in Asia and Africa... Actually, I suppose the theming in Dinoland is good, too, as I do think they MEAN for it to look like a dumpy amusement park. It's just so "unclassy" compared to the other bits of AK. :) And you know me, I insist on "classy." :rotfl2:

I am loving your trip report and can't wait to find out what happens next...I am on the edge of my seat!!!

DM- great updates, from monday to today. The loved all of the pictures. Your niece looks like a happy baby. Congrats with Brooke and the potty and the massage that you won. When I saw Mickey's pants I thought Steve Erkel.

Hi DM ive finnally made it over to your tr and youve done a great job so far Ive been bad and havent even started mine yet and will hopefully start mine soon... My dd is working on hers and it is very good for her age. Your kids are very cute good job

Scott: Did you see "The Drowsy Chaperone"? Very entertaining little show... although we saw it with the original cast of Bob Martin and Sutton Foster, but I'm sure it is still good...

DM - that photo of Brooke cracks me up.... "Please! No more photos!" :lmao:

Yea, they really DID mean for it to look like a dumpy amusement park. And c'mon it's called "Hester and Chester's Dino-Rama" What can you expect? LOL No really, I don't know WHAT they were thinking. But the kids seem to love it, right?

By the way I love your map of the rope drop, DM. You should sell those. :rotfl2:

:woohoo: an update!!!!!

I wouldn't do primevil...as I did not want to toss my cookies in front of hundreds of people!!!

I hope there's no chickening out of Dino!!! Waiting patiently! :p

Good morning. And, you don't know me too well but you will..... It's time to reprimand you on misspelling my name!!!! It's DawnMaree - no space in between and spelled with 2 e's instead of an i. Now get it right chicaroo. :rotfl2:
Well, well, DawnMaree, did you just call me "chicaroo"? What kind of name is that?! Hmmmm . . . I think that'll be my screen name on another board!

Great update..... Seems alot of our DD have their moments with wanting no pics....

Can't wait to see what happens!!
