So...can you get it anywhere else or do you have to get it with the camera???
I think you have to get it with the camera. There is another Disney camera that is bigger. It's called Disney Pix but it costs a lot more (I think about $50) but it has a flash and has better resolution.

I'm too lazy to Google (not usually, but right now - it's been a heck of a day!) so, what are they? ;) ;)
This is what Wikipedia says:

Salt potatoes are bite-size "new" white 1. potatoes scrubbed and boiled in their jackets. Salt is added to the water to the point of saturation, giving them their name, and unique flavor and texture. After cooking, salt potatoes are served with melted butter.
Salt potatoes are a regional dish of Central New York, typically served in the summer as the young potatoes are first harvested. They are a staple food of fairs and barbecues. In this region, potatoes intended specifically to be made into salt potatoes can be purchased by the bag along with packages of salt during the summer months. Hinerwadel's is the most popular brand. [1]
The Syracuse, New York area has a long history of salt production. Salt springs located around Onondaga lake were used to create consumable salt that was distributed through out the north-east via the Erie Canal. The salinated water was laid out to dry on large trays, the salt residue was then scraped up, ground, and packaged. Salt potatoes were created in the nineteenth century by Irish immigrants who worked the springs. The first packaged salt potatoes were sold in the 1960s

OK, I was trying to edit, but apparently was hitting "enter" to "submit post".
So I posted 3 or 4 times in a row...
Which helps my post count, but wasn't on purpose.

What I meant to add to the real post above was, "Of course, they don't have the cool Disney software."

And now I see that Janet asked, and Stitch is young, try the F-P cameras! ;)
WhatEVER! I think you're just posting extra because I didn't reply to your Yahoo message. :lmao: BTW - we were at Pizza Hut when you IM'd me.

They are angels when asleep...

I would not suggest one of those cameras, seriously. They take crappy pictures. Plus they did not have a flash. I took them away from the kids and hid them. Buy them real cameras is my suggestion.

I'm too lazy to Google (not usually, but right now - it's been a heck of a day!) so, what are they? ;)

OK, our KINDERGARTEN bus will arrive at 7:50. I hate mornings. You're still lucky. :headache: :rolleyes1

My kids have the Fisher-Price kids cameras. They are not great in some ways, not much resolution, etc., but they are nearly indestructable and sometimes actually take some decent pictures. I am sorry to say that I only copied DM's reply and not the person who asked about the cameras, so I don't know what age you're talking, but if it's pre-k-2nd grade, I think the F-P are decent. Just FWIW... ;)

Thanks for the info!

I have some good news to share with any of you parents out there. Brookie, who just turned 3 on July 8, has been wearing big girl underwear for 4 days now and has had no accidents at all! Want to hear how it started? I'm going to get ready for the flames...

Four days ago when Brooke woke up I put on a new pullup on her. Not even ½ hour later she had completely wet it. I was ticked! She knew exactly what she was doing and was just lazy. So, when I took the pullup off her, I gave her a light spank on her fanny. Did it hurt her? Maybe a tad. But I believe it shocked her more because I am not a real spanker. I put on another pullup. She looked at me and then ran in the corner, threw herself down and cried. I let her cry it out. Five minutes later she gets up and looks at me and I said, "Are you going to tell Mommy when you need to go pee-pee on the potty next time?" She shook her head yes. And she did for the rest of the day. The next day she continued to do so and I decided to put a pair of underwear on her to test her. Sure enough, she continued to stay dry and told me each time. Even when she was in the pool she came out and said she needed to go pee-pee! Of course, I still put a pullup on at night but last night she stayed dry!

I'm so proud! :goodvibes

Yay!!! you can Brook That Disneydad just went to Big Boy pants Himself:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Brooke still had not gone poop on the potty or in her pants in 4 days. Last night we put the pullup on her before bed. She usually watches some TV in her room before actual bedtime. I went to check on her and when I started to open the door she slammed in on me. I immediately said, "Let me in," which she did and said, "No. Don't look at me." That is her way of telling me that she is pooping. I grabbed her and took her to the potty. She had not pooped at all yet. She started crying on me and I was being very calm and reasonable, telling her that it's okay. She was still crying and I said to her, "If you go poopy on the potty Mommy will give you some M&Ms." She just shook her head no at me. I didn't even have M&Ms but, with the way she was acting I didn't think she would go. So then I see her straining a bit and Voila! She did it. I get her all cleaned up and praise her for going on the potty. She goes back into her room and I go back to watch BB8. She then came in and said, "Mommy, I want my M&Ms." Uh-oh! I told her tomorrow we would get her some M&Ms but she wanted them now. Quick. I had to think fast. I could send Rob down to the gas station to pick some up but I called my Mom (who lives next door) and asked her if she had any. YIPPPEE! She did. So I grabbed the bag from her and gave Brookie 10 M&Ms. So, I've learned that I better not offer something if I don't have it!

Better have it When ya Promise it...BTW DisneyMom got Me to go to Big Boy Pants with bribes Also!!!

:rolleyes1

Thanks, dear. :)

My mom makes these kind of potatoes (in central IL), but adds fresh dill to the butter when serving. We call them "dilly potatoes" and I highly recommend them. ;)

As far as the Yahoo, I left it up whilst I put the boys to bed, and that's when you replied. Go figure...

Thanks for the info!

No problem! Woody, in particular, takes TONS of pictures and gets some good ones.

Hey everyone. Remember Courtney and her closed trip report? Well, she started a new chat thread for anyone who is interested. Here's her link:

Courtney's New Thread...

Thanks! I never did read her TR, but feel that I would enjoy her based on her comments here and elsewhere. ;)

So, since we were done eating I told Rob that we would leave. But then I found out there was going to be a 2nd round of raffles. Well, I most certainly had to wait for that. There were some very nice items on the 2nd round. There was a remote car starter, bottles of wine, an hour massage, tickets to the Adirondack railroad, and more yearly subscriptions to the Eagle newspapers. I got my last ticket and eyeballed it throughout the number calling. When the hour massage raffle came up everyone hooted and hollered. He read the numbers and I had the winning ticket! I really did jump up and yell!

So, that's was it. I am happy....day done.

:woohoo: A 1 hr Massage ...they are the Best I have one every week!!!!

I Love POR!!!!

So, a lot of you wanted to know about my Disney Pix. It's a program that came with Disney micro cameras that my Babushka bought for all my kiddos. It is actually a program for kids but I fell in love with it and have been doing some really fun things with it.

I have used it to make thank you notes from my kids for their birthday gifts. Since they had Disney themed birthdays, I made the pictures and personalized each of them. Here is one that I made from Alec's birthday:
peter.jpg

Normally, I made him sign the card himself but I sent this one via e-mail because Uncle Pete is always on the road and has his blackberry with him all the time. I'd show you Brooke's but I used one of our vacation pics that I didn't post yet here and I don't want to show you all that one yet...

One bummer about the program is that it works mostly with horizontal pictures. If you have a vertical picture you can still use it but it will convert it into a horizontal picture. In other words, most of your picture will be white on both ends.

I only wish I remembered this program before I went to Disney. I would have had Brookie stand with her hands cupped near the castle. I guess there is always next time.

For any of you going in the next couple of weeks or so, if you can't get the tink picture done by PhotoPass CMs, take one yourself, except try to do one horizontally. Then contact me and I will put Tink in there for you! :tink:

That is awesome!!!!

I have a picture especially for you. Since you said you love the Saints...

So what did you win?

YEAH!!! for M&M's. We tried not to let Braeton hae any except for going to potty unless it was a special occasion. We don't let them have a whole lot of candy but when we did we got him something else. He will still ask sometimes if he can have M&M's for pottying!:rotfl2:
A 1 hour massage!!! Sounds like :cloud9: to me:goodvibes

I caught up with your report and am really bummed to hear they aren't doing the Tink pics anymore with photopass. Any idea why? That is the one I wanted the most! I tried on the Croc Athens the other day and they are SO comfy!

Hey DM it was scott's report that first had me looking at POR. He does has some amazing photos!!!
Okay, so I didn't need to pimp out his TR after all! I loved looking at all his photos and how sweet of him to make a DVD for the family. Psst...I did that too back in 2003 when the grandparents came along. Everyone loved it.

Yay!!! you can Brook That Disneydad just went to Big Boy pants Himself:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'm sure there are kind of the same potatoes, yet different, throughout the country. I was just very surprised that the salt potatoes was a very regional thing. Feel free to IM me any time in Yahoo but if I don't answer it's not because I'm ignoring you. ;) I just leave it on a lot to check emails.

:woohoo: A 1 hr Massage ...they are the Best I have one every week!!!!

I Love POR!!!!
Do you really have a massage once a week? I've only had 2 in my lifetime (professional that is  ).

Thanks DM!!!! Love ya!

PS- Love the morning "wake up" video!!!! Love it! I could take those kiddos home with me if ya'd let me =)
Anytime my southern-fried friend. :cutie: I'd let you take them home with you!! Sure, come and get 'em! :dance3:

I better get on that right now then. Not a minute to lose. Must find husband:rotfl: ;)
Do we need to start thread to get you hooked up? :rotfl2:

Your kids are just adorable :goodvibes

Hey! Stop saying that my updates are short. I'm waiting for an update on your PTR...:rolleyes1

I am sitting here watching TV and my ears ring. I look up and I see my name mentioned. Bip called me yesterday cause I gave them the dvd's and JM watched it and was crying cause she had so much fun and wants to go back. We will in 2009 as a group. So far 17 of us.
Sorry for hijacking.

Congrats! So glad you got her to do #1 AND #2!

Thanks! I may take you up on that! :goodvibes
Let's just hope the no accidents continue! I would love to do a Tinkerbell add-on to one of your photos!

I :lmao: at that. I didn't hear an accent either (for reals).

Cute update, and you're going to have breakfast with Donald :donald:

Can't wait for this installment popcorn::
That's because I do not have an accent. We Central New Yorkers are the "normalest" talkers ever, with just a hint of nasal. I'm gonna keep you waiting on the update. I have to work on it!

Our kids don't get a lot of sweets either. Occasionally dessert. So the M&Ms are a good one! :thumbsup2

subscribing! I must know how the week ends!

Glad you made it over here and if you stick around for a few more months you will see what finally happens at the end of our trip. Not that there's anything really special about the end...

It's always great to have a new reader. Like I said before, if anyone wants to take a picture by themselves, I will insert Tinkerbell in there for you! I love them Crocs Athens fer sure!
